We already had something that was mid-2000's UK Hardcore watered down sound. it was called Handsup

Handsup at least sounded UK Hardcore. I dont know what this video showcases in comparison. Trance with slightly more UK Hardcore elements?

In the mid to late 2000s, we had S3RL & CLSM (and others I can't remember) making what they were calling "Hardscape". Which was a push for the 160 bpm. But it didn't last.

HandsUp was a German thing. Pretty much Hard Trance with UK Hardcore inspiration. I never got into it being it's own thing; it's just cheesy hard trance.

I knew Kevin Energy and CLSM/Jon Doe were on the hardscape bandwagon, but s3rl? pretty sure he just did his own thing(s)

I want to say when he released this track, he was advertising it joining the 160 bandwagon at that time CLSM was pushing the "hardscape" term.

Hardscape was slower, but it was never ever about making uk hardcore slower, it was making what was supposed to be freeform, slower, and keeping it 'freeform'.

Don't think S3rl ever made freeform or hardscape, but happy to be proved wrong as I don't know his back catalogue beyond the Green Hills remix.
