hey all, i just started trying to make a track for the first time thge other day, n after a grand total of about 5hrs in the "studio" ever, this is what i've come up with. i know its a bit empty, and it needs some precussion n effects to fatten it up a bit, but i dont actually know how to do any of that
so if someone could offer some constructive critisizm (with directions on how to follow it) that'd be much appreciated
i'm using cubase btw

overly low bass is looooowwwww.
Go for a donkier bass. If I knew how to get one, I'd tell you, but noodle around a little to get the punch it needs to not completely fall apart at the low notes like it does currently.
Otherwise, it's hard to really say anything, because it's just an intro, but I have to admit, I really don't like the melody you're going for. Not to be mean or anything, but it sounds like it's caught between atonality and tonality, and that tension keeps the track from really developing. Change a note or two so that it fits within a key, and you'll be golden.
