So, I just got an Alpha Juno 2, and have managed to get some nice hoovers and strings out of it. However, I'm having some difficulty recording it. I'm running the output into the microphone jack and recording from there, and I'm getting it to record well, with no clipping, but for whatever reason there's a scratchy sound underneath it all. I know I've managed to have clean recorded sounds before with the same computer using the same method (although with a small microphone rather than a synth), but I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong. Can anyone help?

have you tried plugging it into the line in instead of the mic jack?

I know it's not clipping, but have you tried messing with some gain settings, I'm not familiar with the Alpha Juno 2, but does it have an output volume you can adjust?
Good luck.

Where exactly is the line in on a computer?

I've adjusted the Juno's volume to as low as it can go while still creating sound, and the computer's recording rather low too, which puts it at just below clipping (at the highest volume). Other than that, there aren't any gain settings left to mess with.

it should be adjacent to the mic input on the motherboard on the back of the computer, usually a green color
