Hello Everyone!!

Noob here. I'm looking to invest in some DJ software and would like to get the communities feedback on this. I'm currently considering Deckadance. Any experiences you'd like to share?

Also I understand that people will say to get some decks to spin Vinyl, but I'm not financially in that position right now and just want to jump in as easily as possible.

agree with silver but if you still want to go for software.. try traktor dj.. from all the software that i seen i liked that one the most. used to mess around with that nd then got it with final scratch :)
its good stuff but its way diffrent then hardware.. although if you can restrict yourself from bashing the sync button nd records mixes with traktor using the cue nd stuff really beatmatching by yourself (using cue isnt recorded by traktor so it will sound like your mixed with hardware once you listen your mix back).

hope that helped ya :) still ... save up.. get decks :p!

I agree with both, you cant beat getting a set of good decks and a decent mixer however being able to afford that can be a problem, I have used traktor for years and have always enjoyed messin about with it, I have come accross another piece of software aswell made by the company who make fruity loops its called deckadance its really quite something due to the the fact that it has been designed by ppl who work with dj's to get exactly what they want, the accuracy of the beat matching is amazing and the app itself looks really cool, so u have a choice....

Native Instruments: Traktor DJ Studio 3

ImageLine: Deckadance

hope this gives u abit more info :)

yeah its good fun mixin with the 4.... lol ihave found that 3 is more stable and loads the tracks faster..... and sometimes the fact that the visual appearence is more simple it kinda makes it easier to use

Virtual DJ Rules!!! im not saying you have to buy any of the software and before anyone says cracks!!! most licences are for 2 computers so if you have a nice mate.....! ive used tracktor, dekadance PCDJ and personally i like VDJ as it doesnt hog all the CPU like most others do and ive only got a P4 single core 2.6Ghz so for me its VDJ defently good if your starting out as well

is that a joke?? my laptop runs cooler when running traktor than it does browsing through explorer! its never went above 5% cpu usage once running. if you are using cracked versions of the software you cant really comment on its cpu usage or stability (btw not aiming that at you ^)

DJ'ing programs are gay!

But if you want to make a studio mix or something use Sony Soundforge or Acid, can't remember which one, it makes mixes sound pro. :)

thats maybe your opinion.. ok nuffin beats hardware.. but ask around... ask people who been using things as final scratch (http://www.stantondj.com/v2/fs/index.asp)

that stuff rocks.. it opens so much more possibilities in your mixing. just saying its gay its kinda.. pathetic :p
