Hello Everyone,
Noob here again. Does anyone use MIDI controllers for performing/DJ'ing? I'm considering getting a
Behringer BCD 3000. Affordable and lets me search/preview tracks without needing to invest in a whole timecoded vinyl setup just yet. Thanks!!

Ive been looking into this myself, i visited my local maplins and its amazing what you can find in there, they have a usb system that allows you to interact with any dj software that connects usb interface, it will cost you approx £200 but u have an extra piece of equipment that plugs into the usb aswell which drops your latency considerably cant remember the brand but i will find out next time i pop in there...

only time I've seen people use midi controllers during a show was for live pa's
and a good rule of thumb is to stay away from behringer

Ive just bought the m-audio x-session pro and i love it :) im sure there is better out there, but for the price i think it is awsome. I would never use any of the shitty loop / effects on the fancy controllers so having something that is simplistic is great :)

If you can afford it, get a good Vestax VCI controller. They're ridiculously good. And high quality Japanese stuff.

That's my next step. When I get the cash. Right now I have a Numark TotalControl and it's pretty shitty. Does the job, but not very well.
