Most reasonable 7.1 soundcards will do the job, for a while i used the on-board soundcard and the works fine with most dj'ing and production apps :)

personally if ur serious id get a mixer and a MAYA44 or equilivent (a 4in 4out RCA soundcard anout 60 quid) or a USB mixer (Numark DM950USB anout 60 quid again) or a MIDI device such as Hercules MK2 which will control what you see on the screen AND has headphone sockets AND RCA outputs AND inputs (for timecoded vinyl or CD's) all dependes on how serious you are about DJin i started off with a Hercules DJ Control MP3 (simple MIDI no soundcard) and now im into timecoded vinyl (bascaily ur turntables controling the mp3's) but think about where you wanna go 1st and if you buy cheep you will defintly buy twice as you skills will always be better than cheep hardware.

Any more questions hop on down 2 www.virtualdj.com and join us in the forums, but if u aint got a legit copy and its cracked dont expect any help from us! hope dis works, peace ;)
