Australia has stores selling them for 900 US dollars retail (which is about 600 pounds)... I've been checking the exchange rates at the moment (at least for me) buying from Australia is 50% less than the Japanese prices.

...well, unless you're moving from the US to the UK in 2005......when your $1500 gets sliced down to £500..
