So who has given it a try already? It's currently in version 2.54, constantly updated (a couple of updates each month), and while it's a bit rough at the edges I have to say I'm impressed. It looks and feels like a serious Cubase alternative, much more friendly and intuitive to me, with its own set of plugins and loads of nice features. All in a 3.4 MB installer with uncrippled and unexpiring evaluation.

The shot is from a modified "Paula" theme, demo tune loaded in (the vocal begs for a hardcore remix ).

I remember trying this a while back... wasn't really impressed but it looks like they've made a lot of progress on it. I assume the MIDI process has been worked on a little more?

MIDI used to be what kept me away from Reaper, it's progressed a lot though. Now it does pretty much all I want.
