I agree that what Bulby G said could work. DJs that exude confidence generally get the crowd going the hardest. Like Mark EG :D
But if I was to be in that situation and WANTED to play hardcore, I'd only play remixes of popular songs. Not because the other stuff wouldn't work, just because you've got more chances of having people get into something they recognize.
I mean, even at raves I often get requests for shit like "R Kelly" and "Madonna" so I can only imagine what it would be at a high school birthday party.

You could probably find some sick Dubstep that would follow Hip-Hop nicely and get those heads really jumpin and turn them onto something new :)

no joke!
i got a hour set xDDD
it was about to sh** cuz he told me that randomly, and i only had like 30 min of stuff ready.
did some remix's put some hixxy, and some darren styles... it went good, im gona want to do this for soo long
