I don't know, it always depends. But I think it's a good choice anyway.
You will also need a cartridge btw. I own some Shure M44-7, pretty much the best ones until those new ones, that are like in one part, came out ( Forgot what they're called ). They will cost you around another 100 bucks ( For both ).
For the mixer, I don't know, there's a wide range of choice, but you will need a 2-chanel mixer, since you've got two TTs ( One chanel refers to one deck, which can be a turntable or a CD-deck, or something else ). So don't look for 5-chanel mixers. Also, you must know if you want a mixer with integrated effects or not.
Once you've got all your equipement you will have to learn beatmatching ( Look it up on Wikipedia to know what it is, and Youtube to see how to do it. At the beginning you think it's very hard, but then when you do it, you notice that it's really easy ).
Oh and, since you are buying TTs, you will need to buy vinyls, which will cost you money. Or you could also buy a timecode hard- & software such as Serato Scratch Live, but this will cost you around another 600 bucks ( Yes it's expensive ). Of course there are cheaper products such as the Torq Conectiv from M-Audio ( ~ 200-300 bucks ).
Btw check out www.djforums.com, it's a good and usefull site.
I hope I could help.

DJ Revs - Very useful info, but as DjTriquatra said if I buy the package do I still need to buy a seperate cartridge???
As for beatmatching, I know about it and what it is, I guess it requires a lot of practice though. Not getting any software yet, just want to try the actual decks and get used to them first.
The mixer, not needed with effects as I'm just a beginner. I've seen this:
http://www.numark.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/1224/tt/5 It has three channels which I'm a little confused about, what is the third channel for?? :S I know about the vinyls, I will purchase them from the HHC Store. :) Another point, I want to be able to plug the mixer directly into my laptop to record the audio for making videos to put on Youtube, how do I know whether the mixer can do that and what cable do I need? Cheers.

The mixer looks okay. Well the 3rd chanel is for a 3rd deck. That means you can plug 3 decks on your mixer. That could be :
2 TTs, 1 CD player
2 CD Players, 1 TT
etc..
But actually there are mixers with 5 chanels which are not really 5 chanel mixers but 4 chanel mixers which have an extra chanel for a midi keyboard, mic, or something like that, like mine. That's why you always have to check that you really have X number of chanels. If you see X faders then you can be sure you have X chanels.
I don't know if it comes with a cartrige, the best thing is you ask them ( email ), or you wait until you get it, then you know it.
If you want to record your mixes, I suggest you to check out the Gemini iKey ;).
If you need some more help, just ask :P

Cheers guys, one more question about vinyls this time, how do I know the BPM of each track so I can beatmatch it or do I not need to know the BPM?
Cheers.

thats what your ears are for. you cant really call yourself a DJ till you can beatmatch
thats two different songs, that are at different speeds, and you use the tempo control to speed/slow the song till they are in sync, it takes practise.
eventually you will be able to tell which song is too fast, which one is too slow, what needs speeding up, and what needs slowing down..

Yep. But that's easy don't worry. It's like learning how to ride a bike. Once you know it, you never forget how to do it.
I think CDJs have a BPM counter, but I'm not sure ( I have only TTs ). Some mixers have a BPM counter, but what stands there is always wrong, so you can't rely on it.
But usually you know at what speed which track is, most of the time they are at ~175 BPM ( this sometimes depends on the label ), and yeah, usually one track is slighty faster or slower than the other one, so it's not really difficult to beatmatch them. Trust me, beatmatching is easy as ****, it took me some days or maybe a week till I could do it perfectly ( idk if that's always like that or just me :/ ).
And there are many tactics to beatmatch, you can use the pitch fader ( well you always have to, but I mean ONLY the pitch fader ), or the pitch fader and your fingers ( by slowing down/speeding up the platter, that's the way I do it ), or by slowing down/speeing up the platter by this thing that I don't know what is called, it's the thing you put the vinyl on, that goes trough the hole of the vinyl, well some people do it like that, etc.. :)

Cool I thought beatmatching took ages to learn, I'll have to hope I learn it quickly.
Another question, I've realized I need some speakers, can you reccommend any good ones for under £100. Also can I connect the mixer to speakers aswell as connecting the mixer to a PC to record the audio?
Cheers for helping with my newbish questions. :P

yep, you can go from the mixers output, which in this case would be Phono/RCA outputs (red and white audio cable) to the line-in on your computer. you probably have one knocking around somewhere!

Thanks CMC, but that was pretty.. useless.
Lol, I have tons of these cables at home !
Hmm, speakers under £ 100.. Check out Logitech. I've heard they're good. Well I don't know, I'm not sure, I think all speakers are good, just be sure that the amount of Herz is low enough ( which means they will have more bass ). Not sure about that tough, I'm not specialist in speakers :/ Here at home I have some B&W, but they're far from being under £ 100 ! haha

"Cable to link to Amp / Stereo and slipmats are also included in this package." It says this with the DJ pack I'm getting, is this the cable your talking about DjTriquatra??
http://www.numark.com/stuff/contentmgr/files/0/2dd4902bfa138522a516584008e47dfd/large/dm2050_rearconnex_lg.jpg Where it has "OUTPUTS" on the mixer, what goes in "Master" & what goes into "Record"? I will have a look at Logitech speakers aswell, cheers DJ Revs.

Yeah I think that's these cables.
Okay look :
Each of your turntables will have a red/white cable ( RCA ), you plug it into the TT, and the other end into "CH1 - Line input ( left )". You do the same with the other TT and you plug the cables into "CH2 - Line input". Then you will have to set your chanels to Line ( you can choose between line or phono ). At the very top of each chanel there's this phono/line button. Just switch it to line. ( Edit : Thought you didn't know about that too )
Then you take another of these RCA cables, you plug it into "Output - Master", and the other end into your speakers ;)
I don't know what the "record" output is for, I recon it's to be connected on your PC, so you can record it. Or maybe it's for something like the Gemini iKey.
