Anyone with Torq i could really use some help.
i have had torq about a year and i have had no problems until tonight, im going along, everything is going great,
then the screen goes to black, the keyboard stays lit, the music stops, a weird sound plays (most likely from one of my quick scratch buttons, i was clicking trying to get the screen back) and then nothing. I had to reboot my computer.
Any help on what when wrong?
im running a MBP 15" with 2 gigs of ram, and a 2.4 ghz possessor

my mate use the M Audio: X-Ponent digital DJing system, and has torq running on his laptop. Have to say it's pretty f*cking sh*t.

Im using the conective and I think its works great =) easy to use and handle :)

What version are you on? I'd make sure that you're on at least version 1.0.7 or 1.5.1 if you bought the upgrade. I, too, use Torq on a Macbook Pro and haven't experienced this problem *knock on wood*. Also make sure that whatever your interface is, whether it's the Xponent or Conectiv, make sure that it's on the left USB port on your MBP. The right USB port can/will give you all sorts of problems.

I have connective and running 1.5.1, i think the problem i had was not torq crashing, but it was the screen when black, and torq was still running, i fixed the problem with a little app called caffeine, it turns the auto dimming function off. i think the auto dim did something and the screen went black and i could not get it to light up again

For most audio applications, in general, it is a good idea to have sleep mode disabled. With laptops, it's easy to just close it and move on but that's usually a bad thing to do with audio applications and interfaces.

yea, i have sleep mode disabled, but the i had just finished loading a track into the deck....stepped back, and the screen just went black, i have been reading on some mac forums, this seems to be a problem now and them.
