anyone know how 2 do this? looked up a few tutorials on youtube but they all seem 2 be for pcs, or they give links to sites that require a url to download.
basically im looking for a way to directly record the audio output from my mac to an mp3 or wav, anyone got any suggestions?

how about you buy the music that you want instead....lik instead of stealing it at shite quality..buy it at good quality

Perhaps dont be so quick to burn the guy at the steak, eh mate?
Ive ripped audio from websites and films (which ive bought!) to try an incorporate into tracks before now, maybe thats why he would like to know? So take it easy until you know the whole story ffs.
I use a PC but i wouldnt have thought it would be any different for macs.

first of all ... for wot purpose are you asking this? ofc we can help u to tell how to rip things.. but depends on wot base u planning to do this.. ripping complete tracks imho isnt a nice thing to do :) (is why im not putting full tracks online nd if i do so i put em as download right away hehe =p ) so then i wud join cialins comment.. if its for some producing matter like grabbing some samples from a movie or w/e i'd be glad to help =p but first straighten up wif us bout ur goals fella

Dont see why he should have to justify himself really, even if he did its quite easy to lie on a forum, its not an SAS interogation situation.

cheers for sticking up for me there meathead, i was actually gonna use it to rip some audio from news reports on the seige of sarajevo for an album intro im doing.
found a free programme called audiohijack which does the job perfectly if anyones interested.

theres a rough copy off the intro there if ya wanna have a gander, went off on a bit of a tangent at the end tho
