Anybody have suggestions on what kind of needles i should get? i need a new pair and im looking for something better than what i have now. if you have prices and links that would be very very helpful.

ortofon elektro or qbert om's these are both good all around needles
shure m447 are good scratch needles too
if you purchase an ortofon om kit you can exchange needles down the line w/o having to purchase a new kit.
these are top of the line models so you're going to pay around $70 to $100 each

shure M44's are definitatly worth going with if you are after some scratching funtimes
however if you're looking for a good balance between record wear/sound quality and good tracking i rather like the ortofon concorde blues
http://www.platinum-records.com/detail.aspx?ID=5318 they sound great and i scratch alot and abuse my needles alot and they take a beating :)

I Highly recommend the Shure M44G
http://www.decks.co.uk/products/shure/m44g had mine for ages and are a nice area between scratching/mixing.

Agreed! I've had the same cartridges for about 10 years already. Excellent choice. EDIT: I meant the concordes. :P
