No I think you're right, I remember some rumors about that. I can't confirm anything though because I'm retarded.

On the subject of Kutski and the Keeping The Rave Alive, I see there's Keeping The Rave Alive The Album 2 just out from hardcore underground.
http://www.hardcoreunderground.co.uk/store/product/id/4 Look at the tracklisting - he calls this rave? Keeping the Hardstyle and Gabba alive more like!

Hardstyle and Gabba are more rave than other genres of EDM. I'd give him f**king hell over the title if he played a bunch of deadmau5, tiesto and david guetta shit. I think Kutski's amazing but I personally don't believe in paying 10 quid for a 1-CD mix anymore. Especially since he'll probably make it available for free on soundcloud in a few months. Multi-cd album mixes such as the HU series and artist albums are getting my money these days. And of course digital and albums.

?10 really isn't all that much, especially if its something really worth while, but in this case, probably not!

Not getting the powerstomp sound - what's the difference in the tracks at the start of this mix and the electro sounding hardcore that's already around?

If you haven't heard to Joey or Kurt's stuff in the past, lets say 10 years, you've missed it. Kurt has had some very powerstompy tracks way back, and so have Joey occationally.

I've been a fan of Joey & Kurt's stuff from when they started on the scene. Do remember some of their harder gabba style tracks but not heard any of their as you say older powerstompy tracks.

I'd say Orbit 1s stuff from 2008 was more powerstomp and his stuff still fits in with the powerstomp being churned out atm
