Re-Con got quite a lot of praise on Twitter and SoundCloud for his 'return' to the scene around the time CLXH9 got released, maybe a little while after. Just curious to know what people think of his efforts this year but, more importantly, I'm keen to know what your favourite tunes are from the Re-Con camp - from the time CLXH9 got released to the present day - whether it be a solo effort, collab, bootleg or remix. Some amazing tunes overall in my opinion - some of them given away for free - unbelievable!

Just going by what his soundcloud has:

Two best tracks off of there are his remix of Lana Del Ray's Summertime Sadness and My Love by him and Chris Unknown.

Worst thing on there is Nailed It by him and Klubfiller.

Halfway There with him and Klubfiller is decent, but just that one anti-climax part just sounded a bit awful.

Testify sounds too douchebaggy EDM for my tastes.

Flashlight remix I found to be a waste of time.

I actually like Giroscope. It has that quirkiness that has become his signature somewhat, like from Save The Rave and Report To The Bassline, which I both like.

Every other track not mentioned from his soundcloud is pretty decent. So I'm glad he hasn't lost his touch.

It got a vinyl release... http://www.discogs.com/Re-Con-Finally-The-Sun/release/434224

But I assume you mean an mp3 release?! 3Beat Records (Liverpool) may have had it on their website for download way back when but I'm not so sure about now.

The Sun is such a good track.

Re-Con is one of my favourites (most of the time) in hardcore. He's got a great voice and is a good writer/producer WHEN HE ACTUALLY TRIES. :P I think Re-Con's worst year was probably around 2006-2007 when he made atrocious stuff like Save The Rave, Hardcore DJ remix and Beating of a Drum. It's hard to believe he can put out stuff like those tracks and on the other hand he can drop absolute belting songs like Free Again, Paradise & Dreams remix, Heartbeatz remix, Without Doubt, Enjoy, Promised Land remix, Inspiration remix and the Getting Better remix.

He has sooo many great tunes, there are too many to list, and not to mention most of the collabs with Hixxy and Demand are awesome too.

Probably the most talented producer in the scene along with styles. Huge success in his other projects also. I absolutely love his new tune with gammer - I know you (drop this) and that remix of summertime sadness has to be a candidate for tune of the year, honestly one of the best riffs I've ever heard. Agree with earlier post that he's made a lot of crap tunes also but he keeps showing time and time again that he can make amazing music.

His sounds he made always felt unique to me so seriously think he's one of the best i've heard from. Plus he can sing. I kind of prefer his instrumentals or tunes where he doesn't though.

Re-Con is class. Although I can't actually stand his edit/remix of Lana Del Ray Summer Time Sadness. That might have something to do with the fact my girlfriend has been playing her dreary melancholy album quite alot and I can't bring myself to listen to another track by her, or even download for free from his sound cloud!!!

Love his edit/remix of Lose Myself that was was released along with Lana Del Ray. Top tune :-)
