So I've only been to few hardcore events, and was thinking of going to 'totally lost it - best of clubland x-treme hardcore' at the Bowlers Warehouse; it's on a friday. Are these events any good? what can i expect in terms of types of hardcore being played? will it be busy?

Expect a lot of hardcore anthems, Futureworld sound etc. Only kind of variety (Scott Brown, Joey Riot, Al Storm) seems to be rather down the billing unfortunatly.
I don't know if this specific event will be good or not, but I'm sure Bowlers has a pretty good sound system and it's been used for millions of hardcore events in the past so it's not like it's a new venue. Could be good. If you've never met people on drugs, though, be prepared for that.
Yes it will most likely be busy, but I don't think it will sell out.

I'll be there, as will a few others from here hopefully to support Claxton who is playing in room 3.
Bowlers is a massive venue, but TLI only use a few sections of it for their events.
It's a good night, with a dedicated following, and I'm sure this event will be popular.

with it being clubland x treme hardcore anthems...will it be plenty of uplifting, vocal-driven stuff? as that's what i like....or will it just be the kinda new future world sound? i'll enjoy it either way, but I'm probably going by myself so want a bit of a heads up so i know it's definitely worth the trip down...i rarely go to raves, but i know i had a blast at uproar when i went back in feb...i just couldn't believe how quickly 5 hours went...loved every minute though! what style hardcore does claxton play? if you don't mind me asking

it will be just the usual clubland hardcore stuff from their cds.... but mixed in a different order!

I haven't been to TLI since it was at bowlers, used to go when it was @ The Phoenix club (like 10 years ago now!) and it was always a top night. Some of the best rave ups of my life! Jay Prescott is an amazing dj. You should definitely go mate!

I attend most TLIs and they're always excellent raves. My advice would be to go for it!!!
There are usually a few classic sets played at TLI so I think you will be satisfied in that department and then people like Al Storm and Scott Brown are guaranteed to play blinding sets.
If you want to know what kind of stuff I'll be playing then here is my set from Stomp! Friday just gone :)
