It's the time of year again for the Q-Dance Top 1000, basically people vote for their favorite hard dance tracks and the top 1000 are played on a Q-Dance radio show marathon hosted by Kutski. Last year, if I'm correct, the only Happy/UK Hardcore entry was Scott Brown - Elysium. Everyone knows UKHC is underepresented through Q-Dance, let's see if we can do something about that.
Voting this year, I noticed some UK Hardcore artists and tracks are already listed, so you should totally vote for them if you get the chance. I'll list them below. I know people around here are not big on these kind of voting things, I just figured it would be fun to see more UKHC represented in the qdance lineup.
Tracks currently listed on website:
Scott Brown:
Elysium, Boomstick, Now Is The Time + Other Gabber tracks
S3RL:
Pretty Rave Girl
Hixxy & Sharkey:
Toytown
[Will add more as I see them]
-----
You can also add tracks yourself, but I would advise against it as it would most likely just be you voting for it and it would literally just be a lost vote. Also, you get 10 votes.

underrepresented? I'd say they flat-out don't even acknowledge its existence. And TBH I can't really blame them either considering that they focus on showcasing what is popular in all of Europe as a whole instead of just specific countries or regions. It's already a niche genre in the UK, it's even less recognized in all of Europe as a whole, especially when gabber hardcore is the most recognized of all hardcore genres in all of Europe, and probably even the world.

I'm very surprised to see Brisk not on that lineup.

Oh nice. They mashed it in with Early Rave though, and the sound of today's "happy" hardcore is far from "happy." And does Jason Suae still play UK/happy hardcore? All that he's been posting the last year or so is big room electronic music, and hardstyle.

Personally I can't believe how often Pretty Rave Girl is held up as a token example of hardcore. That tune ****ing blows and it always has.

In your opinion.
It can blow all it wants, but when it comes to recognition and popularity, it is FAR more recognized and popular worldwide than what's been coming out of the UK the last 10 years. It's cheesy and catchy, one of the things that is so reminiscent about 90s happy hardcore.

That's exactly my point. Why would we want a mediocre tune to have so much recognition instead of a genuinely decent hardcore track? In what way is the popularity of Pretty Rave Girl good for hardcore?
If the friend of mine who introduced me to hardcore had played me Pretty Rave Girl instead of the Hixxy hardcore remix of You're Shining, I would've laughed myself stupid and shown no interest whatsoever.

I don't see what the problem is. I've always rather liked Pretty Rave Girl.

To be honest, people who judge a whole genre or style because of 1 track is not worth keeping anyways :P
