as for the album itself: it's great! i'm definitely glad I decided to pick this one up! if the purpose of the album was to appeal to both the established Happy Hardcore crowd (that would be familiar with the era the album pays homage to), and newer arrivals in Hardcore as well, it definitely succeeded! + starting the mixes with a newer version of the first track on the very original HU album (Space Oddyssey by DJ Kurt) was a nice touch :V

Is Darwin's Please Be Mine remix available as single track download?


So it's 20 years since the original version from JHAL! Still big fan of the track now as I was back then. The intro track to Hardcore Heaven Vol 2 album which was the first hardcore album I bought! ;) The background noise that starts at 23secs is a bit of a continuous sound but sounds better when the bassline comes in.



Post above; Ruby - Hardcore Train, where did you find that? Lol. Fun track not the worst I've heard.

The problem is that most euro catalogues were bought out by huge U.S based multinationals. We would lose ?100s per license even if they replied.

Paul Elstak largely released on Rotterdam Records, which was sold to Cloud 9 Music as part of Mid-Town Records in 2011.

It's very, very, hard to license any of the dutch/euro stuff unfortunately.

As for HofG thing, it's entirely up to Hixxy. I'll do what I can, but heh.
