Got mine today, not had a chance to listen yet but here is some things bugging me.
09. Mad As Hell - Hardwick Vs. Joey Riot Mix
15. Mad as Hell - M-Project & Eufeion Mix
Why the capitalization on one and not the other? Also can somebody explain the difference between versus and &.
11. Poderous Vs. Joey Riot - I Love Girls
On the album it's listed as I Love Girls - Joey Riot - Ponderous.
Now we have & Vs. and -
lol.
I'm sure it's going to be banging. I'm just upset because I had to type all the names of the songs into iTunes and that it didn't find album art for Hardcore Innovators volume 2 hahahha.

Mine arrived today too... have only listened to first few tracks, loving Kurt - 666 Daze.. any chance of getting him featured on HHU2 since he seems to have produced a few tracks with old elements in them lately?
Also, here's a pic of what came in the jiffy bag, flyers for events, non HU events, an HU event and HU7 artwork!

Ok first off a few bullet points i want to make:-
1- When powerstomp first came about, quite a few people said it sounded the same in the way it was constructed which is fair enough i suppose but since then i think the joey side (i see powerstomp being put into three groups, Kurt , joey and everyone else) has somewhat embraced change and variety. Hardcore innovators 2 for me saw softer powerstomp which to me is something like non alcoholic beer ie pointless. The kurt stuff does it excatly what it says on the tin ie it stomps and his stuff hasn't changed that much but by hell it sounds better!! I find the Kurt stuff is much less nonsense and just pure fun for the sake of it and i really love that. The joey stuff, dare i even say it had some mild electro elements creeping into some of the tracks which i really don't like.
2- The best songs are remixes which isn't a massive problem maybe they are just more accessible because of familiarity for me god knows, but the M-Project powerstomp album shows that original stuff can be just as welcome. The happy hardcore powerstomp remixes and mashups kurt has been making are awesome. Last year he gave away his powerstomp remix of techno wonderland.
3- I wonder if a lot of these tracks are from the studio time Kurt and Joey do with people because of all the wierd and random co credits on the song names.
4- This album is better than the first but the primary difference is Kurt outclasses joey this time for track quality
5- Back to changing sound i guess, the thing is, if you buy powerstomp, you are buying it for a particular sound. It's like buying bitter instead of lager and complaining it's not like stella i guess. If the sound is going to branch out then that is going to happen but i really hope it doesn't get toward the electro sound. The primary thing it should lose is being hard which some tracks have done recently. I guess it's like anything hardcore, you listen to what you like and avoid what you don't.
6- Powerstomp looks like its here to stay and i can't get enough of it!!
7- Kurt is the man right now.

Great album!!
Although like riot in the klub, I don't see what's so good about I'm the cook!! Not my style I guess.
Core Fever is good too, fire meets fire is out of this world and I enjoyed the Dougal collab amongst others.

So you would say that the variation on this album is much different from the first?

Gave this a good listen in a car yesterday. Some memorable tracks, some pleasant surprises, some so-so filler, some so-so filler that's stuck in my head now anyway. ;)

Ugh that track. It was a travesty in my opinion to end Joey Riot and Prospect's mix on the Live & Rehab album with that track. Other than that, the whole mix was rather amazing.
