What if I just want to buy the seperate tracks to mix myself? To listen to on their very own?
Is there a reason a lot of older tracks were released as part of a mix? And never released on an unmixed cd or as a single?
I have to know why because it's very disappointing when I'm ready to shell out for a track (digitally or physical) and I can't because it was never released on it's own :[

Sales gimmick probably
Top DJ mixing on a Top CD series....DJ slides in *CD Exclusive* track to boost interest/sales.
That, or a license issue.

it's more annoying when you buy a digital track when it's infact part of a mix instead a full version...
i ended up buying Denile (supposted to be Denile & Pulse) - Twisted Minds from the Hardcore Elements 4 album which i thought was unmixed -.-

Oh you're probably right! Before people started throwing up mixes online for free this is prob the only way to do it.

Oh eeewww you mean like the beginning and end of the track have the remains of the tracks mixed before and after the track you purchased? D: How awful!

Most of the time it would be an edit so those bits would be cut out, or simply a 'radio edit' but yes, that does sometimes happen.

Correct, exclusives do sell CDs and are easier to get licensed
