well i could get into a metaphysical discussion about how we do indeed all resemble "God" ; ( as much as i would rather not acknowledge Gammer as such; currently ;) ) but i will leave that for now lol.
i certainly agree though. that is a steaming pile of shit; 100% confirmed.
Haha i guess! But my brain hurts perhaps its best left for another day, but as for the tunes, yeah its like seeing your fave hardcore heroes ruin themselves :( all you can do is watch.
" hardcore heroes ruin themselves "
sounds like a good porno series!
lol

I've noticed hardcore (or any genre) purists whine a lot if something doesn't go their way. Musical snob-like behaviour that I'm sick of seeing.
I've been promoting hardcore on YouTube for about 7 years now and I've now started to promote other genres just because I want change and the opportunity to appeal to a more open minded audience, so I can just about imagine how Gammer must feel being confined by his purist fans to one thing.
Sure, we both still have a passion for hardcore but in today's ever genre-entwining music industry it's only logical that Gammer as a producer wants to include other elements in his music, in his case, big room and trap.
In terms of making hardcore catch as a trend, I think he was on the right lines with "Love You Everyday" as that track aligns with the popular UK sound right now... except "hardcore-ified", if you will.
Dance music is meant to be fun, that's it.

i feel you ; i just wish he would label it trap and big room. he is a dumb **** for trying to label it happy hardcore. really shows you how much of an egotistical douche bag is.
he is giving merkel a run for her money.
"forget boundaries; forget borders; everything and everyone IS one!!
welcome to the melting pot; forget individuality; welcome to the mundane watered down collective where distinguished is not necessary!
**** that. difference is good. individuality is key. borders;labels; specific genres; are GOOD.
pizza is pizza. not hot dogs. if i want a ****ing hot dog i will order one. if i order pizza; son of a bitch better give me pizza. i want and expect them to be 2 different things. that is what makes them good. i will decide. they dont get to decide for me. i go to a hardcore show for ****ign hardcore; not to hear his shitty hudson blow**** wanna be ********. im at a rave; not some lame ass trap show.
"Dance music is meant to be fun, that's it. "
i agree! is trap or big room even dance music though?
what is fun about it? most ravers i know laugh and leave when it comes on. dance floor killer. like not good.

I don't think he tagged his track "happy hardcore" maliciously. Dude has his music labeled as happy hardcore all the time so he kinda just went with that. I doubt there was much thought put into it.

I still believe that's a flawed way of looking at it. If we're talking food analogies: Sure, you order the hot dog or the pizza... but maybe you want to try a new condiment on that hot dog and it actually ends up pretty good. Or hypothetically, maybe one day you're over at a friends house playing video games and he decides to order a ham and pineapple pizza. You're only used to a plain margherita but you decide to try something new and it turns out you like the variation of the standard pizza you're used to.

Yes, very much so.
I love pulling a good bass face to an energetic big room/trap track.
And not all trap is just quirky noises and bass. Branchez's remix of Alesso's "Heroes" being a good example.
Big room is about energy and making people jump at a main stage, it makes for great party music. It's fun.
I'm starting to believe that a lot of your hate for these genres come from your association of trap and big room with these "wannabe gangsters". The genre's themselves are fine, it's your own personal experience of those genres that makes you hate them.
I don't like most indie music. It bores me to tears.
BUT, I can understand why people like it.
If someone makes fun of happy hardcore, honestly who cares?
Either way happy hardcore is still gonna carry on happy hardcore-ing.

What you seem to be saying is that we should all support progress for the sake of progress. What a load of ********.
We're not confining Gammer to anything. He's free to produce shit and we're free to call it shit. These are our respective freedoms. We're under no obligation to like or support anything he does. We'll continue to exercise our right to like the music we like and everyone's happy (except, seemingly, you).
Hardcore might just be fun to you but it means a lot more to me than that. I got through some of the darkest days of my life listening to hardcore and they were some pretty ****ed up times (cancer being probably the worst). The music will always have a special place in my heart. People don't stick around for as long as I have after the scene went to shit without having a deep connection to the music.

I think the name is really important, tagging everything with 'happy hardcore' when it is not happy hardcore isn't really a good thing.
I understand that maybe the term 'UK Hardcore' is outdated now that we have a lot of international producers so maybe a new label is needed. I think Gammer now calling his music 'happy hardcore' is probably more of his usual pseudo-ironic talk designed to impress the hipsters and other sycophantic idiots that lap up his every word. I've got the image of him there chatting with Hudson Mohawke about it all but I can't seem to put it into words, I'm sure anyone else can imagine the exact scene themselves, though.
The labels are important, especially when you the biggest name decides to call his music something that it's not, especially when he's making a mockery of what came before. I don't think he has any respect at all for his peers, everything he does is just a big social media wankfest as far as I can tell
