I have been quite aware of Raver Baby for a while now, but have had yet to order one until now! I ordered racer baby 6, tonight and should expect to see it soon! I was quite curious as to which set was your favorite? Or if i chose a good one to start with? Which set would you personally recommend after I finish listening to this one?

Event 15 was a good one and produced a good CD pack, most notably the 'Squad-E B2B Technikore' and 'Sy' sets, but they're all bangers on that one!

It was never released but Hixxy's original version of Lost Boy, I never got bored of that.
Others would be Castles, You're Shining, Future Set, Black Magic Bad Magic, Beat The System, Electric... fuck me, most of the early ones. Jelly Baby weren't bad either.
If you mean events, I don't know.

Not sure if you're meaning the raverbaby vinyl releases or the raver baby tape packs from the numeorous events they held.
If it's the latter then my personal opinion is that it's all about the memories that the tape packs bring back. For example I love listening to the sets from HTID event 8 because it was the best single rave I ever went to. Sets from the first HTID in the sun also makes me feel very nostalgic. I don't tend to listen to recorded sets from events that I didn't go to.
If you mean the raverbaby vinyl releases, then there's a lot to choose from. My personal favourites are the Re-con ep which had Pull over, Report to the bassline, Stab em, Enjoy and his remixes of Dance and Fly with me. Also loved the purple release which had 'Never too late' and 'close to you' by Re-con on one record then 'I will be' on the other. I could go on all day about the raverbaby releases though, as the vast majority of them were top class imo. Very frustrating at the time though as the release schedule was very slow and many tunes were never released.

This is true. It's also frustrating that the vinyl releases haven't been released digitally all these years on.

It kinda sucks that they havent been out on digital, but its also kinda cool, makes it feel hella exclusive. plus i doubt we would have any of hixxys raver baby stuff out on digital since his hard drive crashed a while back and also i would imagine the old 2000 to 2005 stuff would be lost by now

I'm pretty sure Hixxy posted on Facebook a while ago about this, apparently he lost pretty much every single track that he made over the last 15 or so years due to a hard drive going down or something and the backups failed too, hence why nothing ever got released.
EDIT: yes he did, quoted from his page...

I'm not the greatest at keeping on top of social media but it's been great getting back in studio over past few months again & i just want to say thanks to everyone thats had a listen & shown your support.
Got quite a few new original bits on the go & i've re-visited a few of my favourites tracks/remixes that i wasn't quite happy with from back in the day.
Cutting a long painful story short, a few years ago I lost all my old projects/samples/vocals, absolutely everything from about 2001 onwards and for a while it was soul distroying so i didn't want to face doing much at all but now in a weird way, anything i've had to re-visit and re-do has been not as painful as i thought & re-recording any of the vocals i've needed & music has been good fun.
Massive thanks to Gammer, Mark Breeze, Darren Styles - Official Page for kicking my arse back into gear & a huge thanks to Dave Castellano Dj Fat Steve & Dave Castellano for helping with the transition from PC over to Mac.
should have an another original bit i'm working up soon & a re-visit of an older track again for a listen.
oh & the moral of this story..... have a back up of your back up drives.

I didn't know this so thanks for sharing it. Two things, though: 1) there was plenty of time to get it released digitally before the hard drive malfunction, and 2) the old RBC surely would have WAV formats of his works from back then, and their own projects that got signed to the label. I could be wrong, though, and I'm a big Hixxy (& RB) fan regardless.

Yes or if nothing of the above will succeed, I would be happy to buy a professional remastered vinyl rip! Really hope they finally could realise this.
