Always makes me laugh when people state what they have been told as fact, if I remember correctly htid made a statement last year about ITS being about 85% sold or something??.... lol, it was more like 8.5%, if you believe what you are told then you will believe that kim jong un doesn't need to go to the toilet......

And excuse me for being rude but how do you know that ? Did you look at their accounts, in detail? Or was that what you were just told?
How would you know it didn't? I don't see you or Rodz providing your own proof to back up that claim. I honestly don't care who is right, but it's pretty fucking stupid to grill Olly for his post when you more than likely don't know shit either.

Because people sell companies, for rock bottom price , when they are making money......just because your friend has told you something does not mean it's true.....

The jury is still out on HSU for me and it does appear as though they will support and be advised by the old boys brigade, however, the line-up for this event shows a step in the right direction for me. I really liked Ajay and thought he did wonders for a pretty beaten up and badly damaged scene so by saying that I'm not rubbishing the work he did.
I think it's so important that money is made in the scene. Artists should be paid well and promoters should make money from events so that they can reinvest and help the scene grow. Hardcore has limited itself in this capacity for so long because of stupid amount of artists on a flyer. Most dance music nights will only have 4 or 5 DJs and no MCs. The potential to make money is so much greater.
Although with the venue being BCM and the undoubted cost of the Hardstyle headliners will most likely limit the profit HSU can take from this event, I definitely think this more simplistic and stripped down approach to line-ups is the way Hardcore needs to go.
I also think the integration of Hardstyle into the event is a wise one. I've said before on this forum that the Hardstyle and European market is one the scene should tap into and this will only help that. It's one set per night, so the Hardcore won't be too diluted.
On the most part the line-up I agree with although there are clearly some names on there because of past reputation and because they're friends with important people.
JTS, Cotts and Ravine are fantastic artists and it's great to see them on the line-up, but the Aussie connection will have definitely helped get them there.
Whoever said that HTID in the Sun /20162017 was 8.5% sold out is clueless. Those clubs clearly couldn't hold more than 800/900 people and there were over 600/700 there.
It'll be interesting to see how many go this year.

Given HSU brought HTID as the company was in debt, it's likely that in the sun made no profit last year.
As you can see, i made no concrete claims that it didn't make money, just speculation. Also @Skarr stop being a persistent troll because honestly who cares how Thumpa knows. He's well respected in the scene and knows his shit, a great deal more then you do in any case.

I'm definitely going to go now...I guess it's just human nature to resist change. It'll be HTID with a fresh twist...should be great. This is going to sound really dumb...but didn't Hixxy once run HTID?

I know he is really well respected, that's why I'm saying that what he has been told is 100 % fact.

Correct you are, in fact I think hixxy was the original founder.
