Hy guys, I m a fan of the sound from way back, but have no idea what happened in the genre in this decade.
I went to some online shops to check new hardcore releases and dont recognize any of the names.
Time when I was most into this was 2005, I had bunch of compilations and songs and loved it. Both stuff that was done then and stuff from way back.
Most recent song I heard was gammer-new feeling.
Have no idea what happened to the scene in recent years, when I was checkin hardcore on juno shop I didnt see any known name except one song by scott brown and one by kevin energy.
Shop on this site was great but now it is not working, dont know why.
So where is everybody? dougal, gammer, hixxy, vagabond, brisk, all those guys?
If someone can help me catch up it would be greatly appreciated.
Also recently I was thinking of getting some songs from the 90s, both for listening and mixing pleasure but it seems to me they are not available digitaly?
I m talking about songs from first half dozen of bonkers series, for example I never heard full lenght of return to toytown or bonkers anthem or make your own kind of music, were these even available to the general public in full, unmixed form?
Thank you very much

Most 90s tracks aren't easily available, unfortunately.
I'm entirely biased, but your best bet is http://www.hardcoreunderground.co.uk There you can grab Brisks album, Dougal & Gammer album, Happy Hardcore Underground. If you want some upfront fun, the most recent hardcore heaven album is on sale atm and the second volume is on pre-order. Enjoy! CDJay

Since this has become a shameless self-spam thread, go Youtube search for Archefluxx while you're at it..

Sites that sold 90's track, like Beats 24-7 (before 2005) would be nice to have back. I don't remember exactly why it closed down (it was behind the curtain kind of things), but I think most of the tracks that where sold was sold legally.

Sites like Juno Download are good for compilations with unmixed tracks very cheap, there are several containing 90s tracks.
Almost all the tracks from Bonkers were released but on pretty much only on vinyl. There's a handful you can get digitally on albums and that but it can be a bit of a faff.

It sucks for old songs, but as I understood company that made bonkers series is no more so who has the rights to all these songs, why dont they put them on online shops in 320 quality, I realize this is a niche market of a sound long gone but I love them and I know I m not the only one.
There is so much songs that would be cool to have and actually hear in full lenght for the first time ever..
Its also weird that no one ripped all these old songs from vinyl, for example on youtube we have hardcore fever by kevin energy which was probably only on vinyl and was cool to hear it in full however its probably 128 quality or something so its not the best sound.
Archefluxx, I m sorry, I only liked about 70% of your tracks(lol), what I like the most is the kick, it has a prominent not so clean kick like the stuff I was listening decade ago, if you recall tunes by vagabond or euphoria that had these dirty, huge in your face kicks, yet the production was crisp and the mixing was perfect, thats what I liked, modern stuff I listened to mostly has too clean of a sound

I have no idea what happened 'this decde' either.
I was on trackitdown the other night and there is some wicked Hard House on there but I also stumbled across the Hardcore which was mostly just chessy vocal stuff, same old, same old

The company that made Bonkers didnt own the tracks used, they only licensed them to appear on the albums.

It's slightly taboo, but there will be very few hardcore tracks that haven't been ripped from vinyl in decent quality.
What is it you want the tracks for? Listening or mixing? If you just want to listen then there are more mixes and live sets then you could shake a stick at.

Really? First I've heard. Why is it a taboo? That's what I do when there is no digital version available for sale. Not just for electronic stuff, but also for old country, easy listening, rock etc. that will never be available digitally. Otherwise I can't take the songs in the car or play them on my computer setup.
Or are you talking about piracy?

I didnt even think about piracy, to me it would be epic just to be able to hear some of these songs in full lenght for the first time ever, like the old songs I mentioned above.
Well labels that do own them should put them up for digital sale while there are still people around that would buy them, in a decade or two who will care.
I would like them both for listening and mixing, I already have all those classics in short versions on various mixes.
For example songs I mentioned in the first post are not findable anywhere in full version

Of course piracy. I don't so much mean posting vinyl rips on YouTube for people to listen to, that's a little different.

Compared to what I deal with behind the curtain I grade that as mild.
