But yea, it's not the first time winterlake posted in the wrong section, but then, we've had people who say they get more engagement on their post if they post here and not in "Tracks, DJ mixes & release announcements"... and then we had people who said they dont even check out that forum...

As you can see he is a member from Jan 22 and would not have known. A simple redirect for him would have been much more appropriate... it might happen regularly but not by the same person. Not a good look for the forum ppl replying like that... put a lot of ppl off.
Would love to see this forum back to what it was years ago but replies like that to new members... (who also produce and push the scene )will not help.

Sadly there aren't many forum moderators anymore, other than Silver. This kinds of post are usually redirected to their correct subforum.

No need to take this mishap so seriously. As far as I'm concerned we should be happy this forum's still around!
Btw, I like the tune, Winterlake! It is of a high production standard. Good job! :)

Oh come on FDB, it's not a "mishap" it's deliberate self importance and wanting more views while using the forum as a dumping ground.
You know it's true, we all do here. "Whoops, I've just missed the blatantly obvious "Tracks, DJ mixes & release announcements" section with only 37k views and gone for the "Music discussion - hardcore" section with 242k views.
If he can use a computer to make music then he certainly will know about forums. A deliberate attempt to try and get people buying his work which imo and others can just take his tosh and fluff off to fairyland.
Can use a computer all day with major synthesis, tweaking it all, upload it to various music sources, but doesn't have a monitor or phone which allows them to see 4 categories down to "Tracks, DJ mixes & release announcements" or doesn't understand a computer well enough? A fart in a bloody shuttle bus is more subtle.

Forgive me but I rarely venture out on other forums, meaning you might have a point there, but...

It would be interesting to see how many people still actively post on here or even just browse but don't say anything. I browse here every other day! This was the next best place for me behind 'scott bounces' hardcore producer fourm during the mid to late 2000's! The good old days!
