This one seems rather mysterious to me since it was a huge track back when it came out from what I remember, when I was active in the scene around 2003, but very little information online about the artists. I always knew it as a Hixxy tune but see it is this young (at the time, he will be a big man now lol) fella named Adam Harris.

I did have the HTID 2 cd collection but must have ignored the name Adam Harris and only registered that it was DJ Hixxy's track which it seems it isn't. Also there is that old guy who did voiceovers for so many of Hixxy's other stuff, who also talks on the HTID version, which is also made me assume it was Hixxy's.

How did a guy of 16 supposedly at the time release such a track with a big woman's vocals? who is the woman singing on it? pretty mysterious. Maybe his auntie or something?

It is a shame that the female vocalists very rarely get credits. I am the last to talk about feminism and patriarchy as usually it is BS but in this case it seems justified.

EDIT: Actually looking through his discography Lisa Abbot is credited for many of the tunes so perhaps it can be inferred she sang on this one too. I haven't heard any of those tunes yet to know if it sounds like the same lady.

Also why is it only the 'hixxy mixx' seems to exist of this, of the older early millennium versions? Where is the original? I am not speaking on the remixes that came 2010 or whatever. How come there seems to be no original in existence? Makes me think it was some kind of inside joke where Hixxy actually made it and the kid got the credits, maybe some kind of favour or something.

Cheers. Oh and so young too, but seems he retired after a few years of producing, apart from the odd release with years in between, but that seems the case for most producers apart from the really big ones like hixxy, scott brown and such who would definitely be on the dole without HH. lol

Pretty much the case with all the 'high energy' music genres, I think people will burn out after a few years unless they somehow manage to distance themselves from the less healthy aspects of the scene while still being able to stay involved.

You look on discogs by release date and you see high output for 2-5 years mostly and then retirement and perhaps the odd compilation or nostalgia release a decade or 2 later.

There are some outliers such as Styles who has always been a choir boy and never touched drugs but they are the exception.
