my reason package has arrived and im beginning to get used to it, i'm just having trouble finding the right kind of drum, there are no kick drums in the drum kits and i can't seem to find the right sounding drum, can anyone help

If you're a n00b at reason you should use Dr. Rex to start with...

but if you really wana use ReDrum... :

There is a file icon to click in the lower left corner, that takes you to whole ReDrum sets.. but if you wanna create your own set you gotta click the file icon of the track you wanna pit it in....

Look for file icons... click 'em, and look for avaible sounds to add... if this doesn't help you... then check the manual It helped me alot.

Bugger the Rex. use that for filler loops.

Get the Clubcharts.NL refill. Or RonnyV's hardstuff refill. Both are free and you can get them from reasonstation.net.

The factory sound bank does't have a good enough kick. Most of the samples are taken from the loops.

To get extra punch bust out the compressor and use the following settings: 16:1 ratio, 0 thres, max attac and min release. Now that will sound fat ass.

doru malia posts some good reason packacges for drums and all sorts of other stuff as well. if you can find those then it should do you pretty well.

you dont wanna be giving him advise like that mate

ive only been producing about a month or so and i got the grips of the whole thing already

drum samples are for losers make your own unless of corse your just using it too fill a little gap :P

haha

if i was you mate id buy vengeance club sounds 2 theres some nice kits in there and quite alot of FX kicks/etc aswell i would say buy it

but who does that these days with all those *******s kicking in about... *cough* woops did i mention something wrong
