So a big thanks to Silver and his crew and all fellow ravers for making this website a good place to visit

I wouldn't be surprised if there are less people getting into hardcore these days, let alone even joining a forum.
Apparently, the locals from my country regard the latest UK Hardcore tracks as a Speed House Mafia ripoff, and wouldn't even open up to get into it. xD
With that in mind, it wouldn't be the problem with the veteran members of the forum, it's more like how most people regard music as a fad, and music trend supporters will come and go like lost sheeps.
A little off-topic: When I first listened to house music back in '04/'05, everyone around me just thought I'm a weirdo. Today, the locals around me are like going insane over house music and Tomorrowland. Haha, some times I think we can just stay put where we are and we'll be the cool kids in 10 years time!

In my case, when I joined back all those years ago I used this place just to post my mixes. Which is probably the case for many members, post a mix/event/song/etc and that's it. Not really contributing much else.
Then I stopped visiting the site all together for many years.
Until recently I started visiting again, and now actively posting. Reason being electronic music has really exploded in the States... but mostly not Hardcore. Big events every other weekend with no Hardcore. I'm driving down the highway and I see big names at the Staples Center (local sports stadium in Los Angeles) and it blows my mind and I'm glad for electronic music but unfortunately its isn't including Hardcore. I felt a bit alienated and I felt the need to be more connected with the Hardcore community.
Older members here haven't shunned me or anything negative. It's so far been very positive experience for me being more active.
Another issue is probably the many websites to be. Lots of social media, lots of ways to connect. I suppose we stick with a one or a few sites that we like and stay active there. Probably mainly Facebook now.

I post on several diffrent forums, hh.com, x-h.com, quosh & I look at ush from time to time, this it seems to be the case right across everyone of them. Hardly any new threads, when their is new threads been made, either no one answers them, or they get shot down for some reason or another i.e some one else made a similar thread three years ago so it's not worth talking about the same subject again.
Is it that the online hardcore community as a whole is dying out, or is it a representation of the hardcore music scene feeling flat and lifeless as a whole (just my opinion)?
Or do you think that some of the older members of the boards should just lighten up a bit and understand that not everyone was a member of the forum(s) back when they joined in 900 bc or when ever?

Is it only me that found it ironic that the post bumping this thread after years was linking to a facebook community?
Probably the biggest killer of internet forums?
