Hi, i've been using fruity loops to produce a few tracks but the samples it comes with aren't that great. does anyone know where i can get my hands on a trance plugin that fruity loops supports?

Try V Station and Superwave Trance Pro. Both worth getting.

V-Station is spot on for Trance, and easy to program (you need to program it yourself to get the best Trance leads) :)

you can use z3ta, which makes a crapload of decent synths, pads, leads and arps: the lazy man's trance tool :p

the one i told you is the one other than that try the korg legacy collection
verry good sound presets for trance and a nice bundle of synths including the legendary MS-20

You can get some good sounsd out of Sytrus and 3x Osc, both of which come with FL Studio. Just put some effects with the mixer on some of the synths and you will eventually find some good sounds. A blood overdrive on a death ray (3x Osc preset) with some EQing, and reverbs/delays sonuds EXTREMLY trancy.

I don't know anything about FL, but a great trance VSTi plugin is Vanguard from reFX. Lovely little tool, and in my opinion, a bit better than z3ta+.

that is one of the most stupid comments on a vst i have EVER Read
hell no
Hell NO
vanguard has but 3 ocs has limatied unison control
only 3 lfos
and the list goes on
z3ta has more banks more mods ,a fully assighnable lfo matrix ,6 to 8 ocs i cant rember off the top of my head it can also take wavforms from an access virus and vanguard has an unmistakable twang to its saw leads you can just about get rid of it by turning the attack up a little but they put these frequincies in the synth so they can identifi there vst so if you make money they come a nocking most respectable vstcompanys that do this put in sounds unaudiable to the human ear
and some dont bother at all i am not shure were Rgc stand on thes pollicy but i am shure refx do check out plastikz i think thats how its speld but hell i am dislexic

z3ta is excatly 137x better than vanguard it has NO Balls None
Acces virus HAS Balls if you set the z3ta rendering function to full with virus wavforms some sounds are a close match

plus there is one better all i will say is that for trance leads i would bet my life that at the time of discovering this synth in september lastyear there wasnt any better and i have told Brainchlid wich one i wll tell anyone that asks in a pm but if you cant be bothered to do that then i aint letting this out
Rant over
