Play with the pre-sets so get a feel for it. Make a few tunes for yourself and master the song structure. Then from the pre-sets start to make your own unique sounds.

Just sit there for hours up hours untill you master the program, play about with each function within FL, get hold of some VSTs (Z3ta, V-station, Vangaurd to name a few) get hold of some good smaples, theres thousands over the internet and get learning lol

Learn the software, read you're book that you should have got with it, or the Help file ;), make a basic tune using the standard pre-sets and then add me to msn [email protected], I've got some handy tips passed down to me from the almighty...Phenex. lol or ask nicely for his msn and he might help you. :)
Cheers, Pure.

Although Phenex uses Cubase but yeah his tips may still work with FL

the best advice i've had is to read the manual first, but fruity is dead easy to get to grips with, just play around.
what version did you buy?
&
have you produced hardcore before ?

it's the
FL Studio 6 : Fruityloops edition
I'm just finding it abit awkward....
as i use to use programmes like ejay, and on FL studio i just don't know how to make some timeline to drag the samples onto ... it's abit unusual for me to get hang of i suppose :)

if your on just a fruity basic package i'm not sure what features don't work....
you should still be able to use vst's which are 3rd party synths, as you don't have sytrus or a few others, you are going to need them, vanguard imo is the easiest to get to grips with, but theres plenty of free ones out there. if i can find the link i'll post the free ones up.
check out the thread below, just click on it, it'll give you some idea of which vst's are used to make hardcore,
http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=33863 oh & as for quote: i just don't know how to make some timeline to drag the samples onto, read up on how to use the playlist

I know how you feel mate i did the exact same thing 2 years ago. Best advice i can give you is a call and answer type deal. This forum is a good place to start. Now, try replicating a track you know. When you dont know how to do soemthing or get stuck, ask here. The more you learn, the less youll have to ask other people. The first couple of months are the hardest mate and im sure youll get to the point of wanting to quit several times over. The people that make it are the people with perseverence (sp?)
