If all you can say is that you don't like the song for reasons not even relating to the song, then i don't think you should be posting at all. It's totally pointless, but worse, it's very negative, as if he wants to hear about your taste in music. He even asked for constructive critisism, that reply was the complete opposite. Jax your reply was very polite considering.
Anyway, onto the tune...
First of all, you might want to have the kick in mono, most people do on kickdrums and it's the safest way to go without knowing how to use stereo proccessing on a kick to make it work correctly.
This might sound abit backwards, but because of the type of bass sound your using, it's going to sound much better if you sample a note and use that because of the phase movement. In other words everytime the note is triggered it sounds slightly different (due to the envelopes being out of sync), so if you use a sample it sounds the same everytime, and alot more solid. Solidity is definately something you need for the bassline, it kind of 'anchors' the tune along with the kick.
For Trance, producers nearly always use drum loops, i can't think of a Trance song that dosnt. When i say drumloop, i mean a set of hi-hats/other percussion that is made into a 1-bar loop and looped over and over behind the main percussion, you will know what i mean. This is a key thing to add (it takes a while to get them to sound good, or it does for me anyway), as it effects the rhythem of the song alot.
Other than that i would just say automate the filtering on the lead at key points in the song; the obvious place to do it to begin with is the breakdown, but its a good idea to do the same thing when going from one section of the song to another, so that it leads upto something (like if you automate the lead so that it opens up followed by the main section), and your mind knows to expect what's coming up.

Cheers mate!
How would i go about putting the kick into mono and how would i sample the bass? Is that something i can do in fruity?
Funny you should mention about trance loops cause i was given one by someone before you made this post :P I chopped it up in fruity slicer cause it didnt quite fit, the tune definatly sounds a lot "fuller" now its there! Is there somewhere that would have these samples or do you just have to sit and make them? I can well imagine them taking ages to make!
Im gonna work on that filter idea you mention cause some parts do kinda just bang in rather than you knowing they are about to come. Is there something you can do with a white noise? I hear them in most tunes but ive no idea how to make one and plot it in the sequencer.
I did an update before i seen your post..
http://djjaxon.com/music/Jaxon_-_Trance_Production3.mp3 Ill do another tomorrow and try to encorporate what you have suggested into it :) Thanks a lot!

jax imo you need to layer in some different octaves on your main lead to build it up a bit, especially higher ones.
also your lead needs a break, sort of like a verse & chorus in a song, where something else happens to keep the interest there
but for your first trancey tune it's not that bad mate

Hmm, hat and snare need some processing. Bare 909= big no no unless you're making intentionally simple house/techno.
The kick seems to have a little section that drags on too long and sounds off.
A buildup before the first breakdown would've come in handy.
Bass is too donky, IMO.
Not enough change after the first breakdown. Maybe some more variation in the main lead would come in handy.
Making the bass not a simple off beat would be helpful. A more syncopated pattern makes the song sound more driving.
Layer more percussion on there, and be willing to drop the leads for a little while. Make the percussion complex and hypnotic. The lead almost seems to never drop out, which gets a little annoying if it's not constantly changing, so make it so that you have a complex enough percussion that you can drop the lead and still keep the energy and vibe.
Really good for a first attempt though!

If you're wanting to make a buildup, just have a few white/pink noise oscillators and play with detuning and cutoff modulation with the LFO.

Yeah its a good first attempt at a trance tune jax, you've been working on this a while now, i think as u sed the other day u need to work on the actual structure of the track first b4 pissing bout with the sounds,
as ol' matey sed b4, would be good to have an intro and a longer build up b4 that first drop.....
the structure you want to be looking at generally is:
INTRO->BUILD->MAIN 1ST DROP->SMALL BREAK DOWN(SYNTH BASED WITHOUT KICK)->2nd DROP(add another synth or some note changes but stay relative to the track)->MAIN BREAK DOWN(LONG ENERGETIC BUILD UP TO THE 3RD DROP)->BRING BACK IN THE MAIN MELODY -> MAYBE A FEW MORE BREAKS AND DROPS DEPENDING ON BAR LENGTH-> THEN THE MIX OUT.
that gives u somthing to work by then, obviously there isnt a rule to a stucture of a song its just a good way to work by then u can mess around with the structure as u get it down. :)
