Nah gotta agree, they're not worth having. Save your money for something decent.

There is some differences but the mark 2 should do you just fine if you're trying to save on spending loads.

there's barely any difference

the mk2 is the club/rave standard - they're waht you'll most likely find if you play out

Yeah there no difference, apart from an improved tonearm, better anti-skate, +/- 8 & 16% picth as oppose to only +/-8%, the fancy blue lights:) but most importantly the pitch on the the mk5g is digital, therefore all the pitches on this models will be bang on!

If you have ever tried to reset the pitch on the mk2's to match both yours up you'll know how much of a god send digital pitch is! Although that might not matter to you but when i am spinning i like to rock doubles if TT's don't match up its a pain in the arse!

Don't get me wrong the mk2 are fantastic but IMO if you can afford the extra with out a doubt it is well worth it:)

Don't forget the mk2 have a click at 0, can be a pain.

as long as the decks work fine id go for them, they are really good deck imo. they are what i learned on and i have to say i cant fault them as beginner decks. once you have matched it it stays locked. the only down side is there isnt much torque. ive been on quite a few cheap decks and nothing has been as good as the pd1's.

there are mk5's and mk5g's. the mk5's are basically a mk2 with clickless pitch, 0% reset button and apparently they have a better motor than the mk2's which id be inclined to believe as my mk5's seem to be a lot smoother to use than any mk2 ive ever played on. the mk5g's are superb decks but i wouldnt recoment them as the chances are you wont get to mix on them in a club, you would be better getting used to the less able mk2 or mk5's.
