I'm quite new to production (been at it around a month or so), and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a decent sounding bassline. Could anyone point me in the direction of some VST's that could help me produce a decent sounding bass?

Help would be appreciated.

Most VSTs can produce a good bass sound. Just find one that will work for you, and tweak a sound until you get what you want.

V-Station would be a good one to start out with. Try and learn one before you get loads ;)

Cheers mate.

It's a bit late to try and produce some tunes, so I'll give it a try in the morning.

Hey mate,

To make a wicked bassline I use around 3 dif sounds layered into each other. One for the low end one for the mid and one for the top end

I use a VST called Energy Pro for the low end then layer it with a Sample from "Vengence Bassline Samples CD" for the mid and then find a nice distorted top end sound ( Usually use Pro 53 or Z3ta)

Just a bit of a tip for a few months down the track when you start getting better
;)
