Yea KRK's are amazing man, trust me you will go deaf if you try to max them out for a long period of time lol, But yea they are quality speakers, and perfect for porduction and Dj'ing.
Well worth the coin!

If its of any recommendation, Cotts and several other people with studios etc tend to pick the KRK RP6s or RP8s and the G2 models are avaliable now with EVEN LESS distortion due to their new casing.
Heck, if you live in the uk, checkout decks.co.uk I just bought mine from there yesterday. Pair of them for £350 compared to the average 400! Quick delivery, mine arrive wednesday (issue with the order, ordered saturday but only wokring days are delivery as usual...)
But almost anyone who knows anything about speakers always say these go loud as sh*t and still sound crystal clear! Heck I even heard the KRK RP8s in a local DJ store, they didn't even go all the way up, but were sure as hell loud and didn't even distort.
Hope I've helped you in making your decision.

I dunno, if you're using them for MIXING and NOT producing, I wouldn't recommend KRKs.
I have Behringer B2031As as well as KRK RP-8s with an RP-10 sub so I can give you a good comparison.
The Behringers are slightly cheaper. IMO, they're the only good product Behringer makes.
B2031As vs KRK RP-8s:
-Behringers are louder (like, MUCH louder)
-Behringers have a more pleasing sound (which is better for home listening)
The KRKs definitely give better mixdowns but when you're using them with a DJ setup it's hardly a concern. The Behringers are definitely clear enough to EQ properly.
Basically, if you're producing and you can afford them, get the KRKs. If you're mixing on a DJ setup, get the Behringers.

I would say that is pretty spot on. Not that there is anything wrong with having a set of KRK's set up for mixing. :)
I suggest you start paying a bit more attention to the limitations of your speakers as well.
