Hey,
I was wondering if anyone here is using a Mac to produce Hardcore, cause I have a lot of ideas, I'm very creative and a lot of people tell me I have many skills and potential, the only problem for me is to transform my ideas into reality.
I'd like someone to help me to finish all of my songs, and to make it to something good. I would need someone who's skilled and who works on mac, that'd be the easiest way for me.
The prob is always the equipement. At the moment I don't have money for software expansions, good instruments, good samples and and and... Otherwise I wouldn't need anyone..
Hope I'll get an answer !
Oh and by the way answers like "Switch to windows, it's better" will be ignored.

I'm interested in production aswell, but I don't really have the cash to get started. Cubase 5 looks good and you can get that for both Mac and Windows. The only production I've done is on FL Studio but I guess it's a start.

Actually I don't need any software, I already have the two best softwares you can get for mac ( Logic Pro and Digital Performer ), but none of them have VST Wrappers, which you need to use VST's. A VST Wrapper is like a plug-in which costs around 70 bucks >.<

Alot of proffesionals prefer the Mac over the PC (in undustry standard studio's it's the OS of choice) for producing music, and having used both i can see why. So anyone telling you to move to PC really is making no valid point lol.
I would help you but i don't actually have a Mac, i only used them at college.

Okay, thanks anyway dude.
Oh and please guys don't start with this "PC is better than Mac" and "Mac is better than PC" thing, that really annoys me, everyone has his own opinion. So no stupid comments, or I will alert moderators.

Really? Why is that? Just out of interest like. Is it just that the interface is nicer or what?

It's alot more basic (in a sense that it has everything you need without a load of extra shit). Windows has alot of crap that makes it run slower, and it's just not as reliable. The Mac OS is extremely stable.

Oh is it just that Macs are better? I thought you meant they're better for like producing or something.
Has anyone ever got any production stuff working on Linux? Thats the only thing keeping me with windows.

Typically it is said that Macs are more useful for creative people (graphics, video, audio) and have been designed with those people in mind. While PCs are good for database and course games. Of course it's all personal opinion and it's whatever platform/program you are most comfortable working with.
That being said... Revs, I currently work on a mac (and have been since the classic) and use Logic Pro as my main sequencer and Ableton Live as a secondary. Exactly what type of help were you looking for? Were you just trying to get bigger sounds? Find someone with sweetness virtual instruments? Just curious what your working towards. It is possible to get amazing sounds with the .au instruments provided with logic, but takes a bit of work. I produce a lot of Hardcore and Breaks, and have moved into using my hardware synths for the 1337 soundz. I find the hardware just seems to sound bigger and better.
Current Kit
Apple G4 1.42GHz Dual Tower (older but amazing)
Logic Pro 7 (with Sonic Birth as the extra virtual instrument builder)
Korg EA-1
Red Sound Darkstar XP2
Clavia Nord Rack 2x
Alesis AirSynth (lots of fun for adding little effects here and there)
Access Virus Classic
Roland TB-303 Clone (reverse engineered design - I built it myself)

Mac are the best for producing from what i have seen in studios and such...personally i use a program called Logic Express, it works really well for what i do. I have had no major problems with it, now i have talked to some people about what they use and some people like to use FL studio, which does NOT work on the mac, unless you have some kind of PC emulator, i have used something called parallels in the past and that worked ok, u could also try boot camp(Only if your mac has an intel chip) which allows you to install windows on your HDD.
