Hey people!
I know that some of the best mixers, IMO, come from pioneer, i thinking of buying one.
I stuck between the DJM800 or the DJM909.
The main question i have is this....
is the 909 just like the 800 but in a two channel form?
are there are any Pros/Cons that i should know about?
thanks

the 909 has a hideous orange backlight, and the 800 looks cooler.

depends on what you want to do with your mixing
the 909 is a battle mixer, the 800 is a studio/club mixer
the 800 looks cooler...what kind of advice is that? =P

True, the 909 is a battle mixer, but you can also do battles with an 800
I'd take the 800, if one day you buy more decks, you won't have to buy a new mixer, cause the 800 has already 4 chanels.
BTW : I think the 909 has a touchscreen !

If you want good effects, get an EFX-1000.
And it's not about the look. You can't play with 4 decks on a 909. But you can on an 800. I'd get an 800 if I was you.

ok,
i really cant afford a brand new mixer. neither the 909 or the 800, but im looking into a used one, the only issue is that i there are on used 800's for sale.
i do have another question though...
on my current mixer, i have a switch between phono and line....whats the difference?
i know that phono is used for TT most of the time, but im using a program called torq, and my TT's only work on the Line input... why?
thanks again for the advice

Me nothing understand.

Because when you plug it in the phono input you have to switch to phono, when you plug it in the line input, you have to switch to line. If you plug it in the phono input the sound will be too low and you will have to turn the bass on full blast to hear it like it should be. And maybe the Torq thing requires it to be plugged in the line input, I don't know to be honest.

Well i knew the prices before hand....
and yea i dont know what happened to my grammer there...lol
what i meant to say was... im looking at buying a used pioneer mixer, but there are no used 800's for sale, that are a decent price. the only kinds are are for sale are the 909's.
i know that you have to switch between phono and line depending on where you plug the input into, but from what u said it seems no matter what u do, the phono always seems to be really quite. The reason i asked was if i had 2 TT's on the phono input then i thought you could have 2 CDJ's on the line input.

The 909 has a touch screen with 50 different (customizable) effects and optical faders that won't wear out. AND I'm SELLING ONE! Check out Buy & Sell!
