I have been producing music of all genres for a long time. I have worked in music studios and released small release albums, toured with minor bands and all that stuff. I have always been a big HH fan and have always wanted a serious side-project producing HH. Information on the specifics of HH production have always been a bit hard for me to come by. I think I have finally figured out most of the fundamentals and gathered most of the tools, but I would really appreciate someone who is very proficient that I could email some specific questions every once in awhile.
I am willing to reciprocate the kindness is any way short of finance. I am prety unemployed right now but am a wealth of knowledge on mixing and recording a lot of other styles of music to trade. I also love to remix, trade samples, ect ect. If I were ever to sell a hardcore track, I'd be fine offering a percent on that.
Basically, I am a pretty serious producer looking for someone that can answer a few questions and give me a few pointers and I would be grateful enough to reciprocate in anyway I can.
I really appreciate it, allen [email protected]

By Happy Hardcore i assume you mean ACTUAL Happy Hardcore, the likes of 1994-1998 stuff. If so then hit me up at [email protected] (preferably on MSN), and i certainly dont't expect anything in return.

Just stick around here and post up a few questions whenever you need mate. There's plenty of people on here willing to help out for nothing (myself included if possible).

Thanks, this is a resource I would have killed for a few years ago. I spent so much time on the internet with little luck in the 99 era.
I didn't know there was a different between old and new hardcore. The stuff I hear on this websites radio station dosen't sound that different to me than anything I was banging to in '99.
I will hit you guys up as I run into issue. First; do you guys know of a good place to find some packs of synth pre-sets that I could get started with and possibly study to see how the patches are made. hoover and pad patches.

Ye its great to have these forums and stuff, lots of helpful people who know what theyre talking about and are willing to help. Id sign up to as many different music forums as possible (whether they be hardcore or not), it will help no end.
Old and new Hardcore are very different mate. Have a look around places like youtube and discogs.com youll see a huge difference between the two.
Hmm Sylenth1 has some great Hoover and pad patches (amongst other things). One of the hoovers in the presets sounds EXACTLY like that from Human Resource - Dominator. Some of the pads are good too. Its worth buying Sylenth to study and recreate them, great synth.
And some synth presets/patches here....

Aye, and who says hes got to use them as they are? He could just use them as a guide to make his own and change it completely from the original. I got one of the Rocket Pimp banks and - not including the 1st few weeks or so id been producing - have never used it as is. Good guide to go off but id rather make the sound myself. Stuff like this is great though to give you an idea of what the hell youre doing.

The generi-core is just what the doctor ordered for what I want to do, thank you. Perhaps requesting a guru was a bit overkill of me. Not to sound like an old man, but 'back in my day' the only way to learn this stuff was basically to know a guy. In just a few days I am already putting together serious sounding generic tracks. No forum can express how satisfying the last few days have been.
I was wrong about the style change, I always forget about the stuff from 94-99. I would say that it hasn't really changed a lot since 2001 though (unless you count shitmat?). Not to say that there isn't good work being done all the time.
But anyway, any more sample packs are very welcome.

If he's already produced other genres switching over to Hardcore and copying the general sound cant be that difficult, i guess.
