lol I laughed at that. Nothing against Thumpa, but my votes went to the HU crew wherever they deemed fit.
And yes everyone's been spamming that shit like crazy. It's rather pathetic to see the bigname artists do it, especially Klubbfiller. I see him winning none of those, as there are far better producers, djs, albums, sets, tracks, websites and labels that have done way more than what he has done the last year. But who knows, he's got over 12K FB followers let's see if they can get him a win in something.

so who have been the ones who have been spamming and emailing the most for y'all about voting? I mean really Thumpa is the only emails I've seen, but it's more of a friendly reminder to vote for it than a "vote for me!" email.

He's trying to get Freeform recognised - accurately - to the wider Hardcore scene! And suggesting a general consensus between a few artists over many random obscure artists is obviously a decent way to do it.

Even though I outsell the vast majority of labels, the hierarchy and organisation of the hardcore scene means that I am still viewed as a small label. I usually don't care but the awards are getting to me, I've watched DJs and producers come and go and it seems everyone I know has won something except me.
I will be honest, I want to win something this year. I think I'm due 'best breakthrough DJ' as I was playing to thousands of people at Uproar in 2004 and I'm still here picking up decent gigs. It sounds shallow but I want an award.
Dean have you sent me any messages that I've ignored???

It's nice to get some recognition, sure, but there's some serious hornet nests of hate out there just waiting for someone, anyone, to sting. For winners to exist, there must be losers. They have followers, and friends, all of whom will *hate* you and everything you are associated with for all time.

I don't think, I know it for a fact. We deserved best label, we really and truly did. Yes, it was surprising we got it, after being side lined and under rewarded for so long, but in terms of actually being a LABEL and doing stuff we were so far ahead of most other outfits that any rational being who did a modicum of research should probably go "ahhh okay, fair enough. More fool me for not noticing".
Alas. Rational behaviour is apparently too much to expect. Poisoned chalice.

If these people voted Fracus & Darwin for best freeform act, then surely they wouldn't even know what you look like. If you do win, have Entity accept the award as you lol. Or hire someone off the street haha.
And I agree, you truly did deserve to win Best Label last year. And I believe you truly deserve to win it again. Putting a bunch of big names into one label just to release 2-year old tracks and half-assed remixes and "radio edits" is nothing compared to the albums you have and will be releasing this year, along with all the events you throw and worldwide appearances you and your label entourage have made.
