Ha!! When you put it like that, it really does show just how feeble the other labels are, in terms of being a record label.

... But you see, it's precisely stuff like this which causes it. Someone From another label, or who loves that label, will get pissed off by that. Then hate Hu by default. It's this militant partisan attitude on all fronts turning plur into bleugh. Remember when people liked it as a genre? All, or at least most, facets? It's hard to imagine now, with lines in the sand funneling the very blood of this scene into the sea..

Am I the only one thinking that big artists/label owners shouldn't act childish when they don't get a award every year?
In terms of creativity and releases, you won for me. Marc Smith, Brisk, (Sharkey (in pipeline) solo albums plus HU6 (with many featured artists) and EPs, while Futureworld released 1+year old tunes on their label or CXH9. Ok, they had two DJs at EDC, but thats all when it comes to their highlights.
And who combined Freeform DJ and Freeform Producer categories?

TBH Industry side most people were fine, it's the friends and followers who wind themselves into a berserker fury on behalf of people who largely recognise it all for what it is.
I saw someone posting on facebook saying that being in the music industry thickens your skin fast; it may well do, but it's far from impenetrable for anyone. I've caught myself numerous times being forced to read or listen to a comment again wilfully factoring in perspective or intent. Someone can express preference in a way that sounds entirely denigratory to one party, intending simply to profess their amour for something else.

Ok. I have voted. I ignored most because, really, how much do I party to know what DJ's actually been good this year?

Figured I'd vote after all.
Went for Sc@r as best Hardcore DJ. She's played a cracking set every time I've seen her and one of her releases this year has gone in my books as one of my favourite tunes of all time. Vicious Creatures - that is. She's producing plenty of tracks that all have a wide diversity to them. Some are old-schoolish, some are more Freeformy, some are downright melodic and some are that 'beep-boop-boop' stuff. Its something for everyone. Also selected her for International DJ. She's in Russia atm I believe.
Went for A.B as best Freeform producer and DJ. He's had a pretty hot year and some of his releases on Stamina were awesome. I also remember his set from ILBH in June which was very good. Unfortunately though there wasn't much choice. I'm not really enjoying most Freeform for the same reason that I'm not enjoying most Hardcore. Freeform seems to be going through this phase of having tracks that never take off. They build up really well, then drop in really strange and boring ways. I don't really understand why so many tracks are produced without dropping into a melody and this is something I've wondered to myself at events. Regardless, AB is one of the sets I was sober enough to remember and has had some tasty releases.
Label, I went for HU. Assuming that HU6 will be out at some point in the next 2-56 weeks, they just seem to be on the ball. Marc Smith albums, breaks albums, comps, Sharkey album. They're doing things. What other label is doing anything near as much? Futureworld just seems to be making lots of announcements...
Best Hardcore producer is Darwin. As I've said before on this forum I've not kept up to date with much 2013 Hardcore. However, of what I've heard from Darwin, its all be awesome. No one else really competes.. That said, I've enjoyed a lot of Stu Infinity's music.
Scott Brown - Don't Doubt Me is probably my track of the year. Its not out yet, but it's incredible. I mentioned Vicious Creatures, but that was probably my favourite track last year... the whole of the year it wasn't released yet. Scott's tune is very melodic, has an amazing breakdown and generally takes me back to all his older stuff. Great to have the guy back and I hope more tracks are similar.
Kevin Energy Guestmix @ ILHB Sound As A Pound was my mix of the year. I don't even need to explain why. Bring that mother* back because his music was second to none.
Twsited Tempo was the breakthrough event of the year. I don't know much about event happenings, but this has launched around Essex, and the one I went to was very good. Good luck to them :D
Lifetime Achievement Award I did ponder with. I was tempted to go with CDJay, because his contributions to Hardcore with Hardcore Underground have been massive and every release CD or otherwise have been outstanding. However, I've gone with instinct and voted Marc Smith.

I used to think Olly was a total penis. Then I met him in real life. And now that we've had some beers and hugs at a load of events, I can say that Dean is absolutely correct and the man isn't far off legend status for me. The work, the albums, the number of years, the actual sets themselves - and a fcuking decent chap that hasn't said no to a tequila yet.
Good. Bloody. Chap.
Top lad. See you soon, its my round next! I can be a total penis though, that's for sure.

I'm abstaining as always. Abstinence makes more of a statement about my feelings towards these pointless, fundamentally flawed awards than attempting to "correct" the results by voting.
Not that I would because it's a bit silly but you could bot that vote form so easily.

That's the only reason I said what I said. I thought I'd be seeing you in Leamington on Saturday but then I saw that you posted you're on a stag do? Shame!

I voted a week ago or so!
For example, voted Gammer for Best DJ, Hardcore Underground for best label, best Freeform producer Aryx, best Hardcore producer Darwin, breakthrough producer jD-KiD and best tune Unforgettable (Gammer Remix).

Last day today to put in your votes for the nominations in each category. It would be interesting to see if we get some surprise nominations, and surprise snubs.
HU for label of the year, and HU6 for album of the year! Would be hilarious if HU6 won even though we don't have our own copies yet haha.
