this was a fun project to be involved in we really need to do this sort of thing on a regular basis not just every year i would say every 4-5 months it really has got my creative juices flowing again after getting into a little slump and not coming up with very much after listening to all the tracks i've actually gotten back into humming random melodies to myself havn't done that in ages it seems like with all the varied styles i'm thinking of more and more tunes than i have over the last year :D

Glad to see its had that effect and mabey someone else can organise a winter comp because believe me, after running this one, I want to get involved!

I could possibly step in to take the organisational reigns if you wanted to get involved, Ken (since I don't produce myself). Let me think about it. :-)

Sounds like a plan Jay, I'll happily run this yearly alongside the album but if you could kick one off in between that's great. Possibly at the start of the year or something :)

Sounds brilliant having competitions a lot more, I would love to be able to produce more and maybe we could all produce our own tracks so we have enough for a mix every few months. Then we all combine our tracks with the DJ's that are on this site too.
I can't wait till you get your computer sorted Paul. Man oh man those songs i've heard from you are excessively good!

Just in case anyone is interested, here is a rough 1st version I made for the comp. Totally different to the track I entered, ended up starting again from scratch to create my new one.
As I say, very rough, little attempt to polish the sounds, decided on a (slightly) different direction and scrapped it.
Probably would have got more votes then my actual entry
