Well I know ham started dj'ing and producing drum & bass under the name Hamilton, but I was wondering has he give up completely in hardcore in both dj'ing & producing? I don't listen to any new hardcore these days and theres not much cd releases to see if he has any tracks on them, but I haven't seen his name this year on any of the event line-ups I've seen either

He's had much success as Hamilton, way more than he ever had in hardcore I think. :(

Really! kind of surprised by that! but you'd still think he would do some hardcore in both dj'ing and producing, since that's were it all started for him and were he made his name, and assuming he still likes the music

I'm not really surprised. It's not uncommon for talented hardcore producers to try other genres and become very successful in them, while pretty much ditching hardcore.

I don't think Ham's got any plans to get back to hardcore. Never say never though!

It's not at all surprising imo. Why spend energy on something that isn't profitable when he can focus on something that is. He's been producing for over 10 years now so the novelty has probably worn off a bit and he'd like to actually be appreciated, which certainly hasn't happened in Hardcore, especially given how much he's contributed to the scene (a lot!).

Yea he's not coming back to hardcore. I was told he's enjoying his success with d&b and chances of him returning are slim to none. If he does come back, it'll probably to tie up loose ends and that is it. Extremely talented individual, moreso than most of the "top-tiered" assholes around today. Never got the respect he rightfully deserved from the industry.

for over 10 years means more than 10. So there is nothing inaccurate with what I said. Maybe not very specific, but not inaccurate.

His Hamilton stuff is really good

The 'Schema' EP on Ram came out a while ago and i'm still listening to it regularly.

I would recommend

Hamilton -Echoes
Hamilton - Deep In My Heart
Hamilton - Get Together
Hamilton - You had it

Ahh no, not this again. I hate being reminded of the loss of Ham.

He was easily one of the most talented producers in the hardcore scene and I wasn't at all surprised to find out he could make it big time in another genre. I suppose I'm just grateful it took him this long to switch.

Devastating loss for hardcore, although I feel the fact that a lot of people in the wider hardcore scene aren't really feeling the loss is very telling about why he left in the first place. He never got one iota of the respect he deserved.

Anyhow, I don't like his dnb so I guess that's the end of it for me.

He was never fully appreciated in this music, same as DNA, Trixxy, Fade and countless others. Fair play to him, he's making serious waves and proper money in D&B.

There's a chance he could come back in some capacity. A few of us were in the kraftyradio chatroom yesterday while the Hardcore Underground podcast was playing, and CDJay said he was gonna try and work with him on something. I don't believe it will be an all-out hardcore album, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was an artist album and there might be a handful of hardcore tracks in there.
