I know React as the music label went into administration but I always thought the publishing division continued to operate. In fact does it not have its own website? So to me this does not surprise me. But I hope this time they don't make the same mistakes that forced the second label, Resist, into bankruptcy.

If they wanted to set a new bonkers apart from everything else they could get some of the retired guys to mix them. The theory would be that as they don't produce anymore, their disks could be full of tracks by other artists like the good old days! You could have Sy, Seduction, slipmatt & sharkey! Wired how they have names beginning with s......

Seeing Hixxy back on a resurrected Bonkers would not be entirely impossible. He did work on some Bonkers and CXH albums within the same year. And Bonkers have never been about label showcasing as much as CXH albums have, although there were occasions that a number of DJs like Scott Brown did use many of their tracks from related labels in their mixes. Overall though I think there was a significant amount of diversity compared to albums like CXH.
Hixxy could very well be in a resurrected Bonkers album, and possibly Sharkey too depending if he retires again or not lol. Honestly I'd like to see Sc@r on there I think she's worthy of having a mix on Bonkers. I just hope if React does another album, they do B2B mixing rather than one single DJ in control of a whole mix.

That could be until Gammer came along, Scott Brown basicly had his own sound from 99 to 2004

A new bonkers cd sounds great in theory, but when I think about it I'm struggling to think who could mix it at this moment in time
Hixxy, Styles and Breeze are all out of the picture because of CLXH
Re-Con would be far too busy with other projects to mix a bonkers cd
It seems like every other dj I can think of has either recently made an artist album or is in the process of making one. Either that or they've recently been involved in mixing other compilation cd's. For example Marc Smith, Joey Riot/Kurt have released albums. Dougal/Gammer album is forthcoming as is Brisk. And we have Scott Brown, Al Storm, Fracus/Darwin etc who've just done one HU compilation. With Klubfiller, Chris Fear, Scar, Unknown etc doing another.
That basically covers all the top dj's in the scene. I know this is a purely speculative topic but at this time all bases are covered without any need for a new bonkers cd.
I think saying these people are too busy to do a mix CD is a little presumptuous
Yeah. It's their job lol.
Again... I never said these people were too busy
I wasn't disagreeing with you. I didn't really read your post, or not properly anyway. I was just saying lol.

I only said re-con would be too busy, a fair assumption seeing as he's also involved in other genres which he makes a hell of a lot more money out of.
This is one of the reasons I always have a lot of love for Re-Con. He already has a proven track record of making it big in more mainstream dance yet he still finds time to produce hardcore. He's clearly a genuine hardcore fan.

he did start out in other scenes, but yea, this is what I wish more artists who have left Hardcore would do, unless they stopped liking it ofcourse

Be interesting to see what comes of this.
Think i might be in a minority though when i say I'm not in the slightest bit bothered whether Bonkers returns or not.

Yes agree 100%. Extremely talented producer who only continues to make hardcore because he loves it.
I'd also include Darren Styles in this. He has the talent to be up there with the best edm producers in the world but he's (mostly) stuck with hardcore.

Honestly neither am I. I mean good for them if they plan on doing it, depending on what the DJs are I would be on board to buy Bonkers 18, but I wouldn't be disappointed if they decide never to bother with it again. There's plenty of great material out there in place of it.

I agree with that, feel like it's had its time and place and now its time for other platforms to drive compilations forward. *Hardcore Underground*

Forgive me for being cynical, but I can't help but think something's amiss. No advertising, no mention on FB or any social media, even from the signed artists, nothing on the high street, two posts in 14 months and I wasn't able to buy any tracks from their store (which don't show any prices) kinda sums it up for me. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Fair points, but this is a 2013 release in iTunes from React. I suppose they'll be running it slowly, investing mainly just repurchasing the rights..
