Has it? Many of us consider Darwin's Remix of Let Me In to be the best vocal tune of the past ten years at least. Now, they've released Never Let Go (Fracus & Darwin Remix) and it has gained huge popularity (relatively) and it seriously gives me some of the feels I get when I hear Let Me In. It's so lush and wonderfully written with sweet lyrics and is just incredibly uplifting!
I had friends who normally don't like hardcore who liked Let Me In and now I've had the same experience with Never Let Go, for example my boyfriend has taken a big liking to it and he never listens to hardcore. :)

Let me in is an awesome track as is Never let go. Never let go makes me remember the lead up to Live @ Rehab (remember it featured in the promo video) and how exciting all the HU stuff was around that time. It's an amazing tune but I think Let me in has the edge because it has an original (ish, you know what I mean) vocal.
Never let go is amazing, I reckon the next one is F&D ft Poison Rain - No Dark Clouds, that's really uplifting too so much good vocal stuff coming out right now, it's really making everyone else look pretty shit in comparison :D

Yes, Never let go is an amazing tune, but Let me In is one of those tunes with an actual melancholy atmosphere, which are hard to find these days imo., plus more vartiy in tune structure, so for me, Let me In is still ahead.

Never Let Go is a brilliant track and I love it!
But Let Me In is something extremely special. Vocals and tracks like that just don't come along very often. So powerful!!!
By the way, I will most definitely be voting for Never Let Go as track of the year. I really hope F&D can better their second place last year with Free From Form.

While both are great tracks, Let Me In wins by a mile for me because I'm not anywhere near as much of a fan of this newer "housey" style of hardcore.

Never Let Go is a fine track, but it is no where near the size and power of Let Me In. Let Me In tells a story, not something many hardcore tracks can claim to do.

Oh no no no no no!!!
No Dark Clouds is distant in quality and epicness that Let Me In and Never Let Go are. Jon you know I'm a huge HU and F&D fanboy, but I do not fancy that track all that much. I love the playfulness of that track, but my ears find those high-pitched vocal parts extemely awkward. You're allowed one a year though F&D, this year it's No Dark Clouds, last year it was Breaking ;)

I heard No Dark Clouds indeed, on the podcast, but I don't think it's as massive as Let Me In and Never Let Go! Interesting to hear your thoughts, guys, it's really hard to touch Let Me In, isn't it.
We should definitely make a collective push to make Never Let Go win track of the year!!

Once again we have the exact same mindset, LOL
While I do think Never Let Go is a fantastic tune, it just doesn't have the... body, to it?
I think it's the mixdown for me.
Never Let Go sounds like they cut 300-5khz by 30 decibels in the master and raised the high end. Its very whitenoisey and the kick is not very solid - heck, the snare has more presence.
I'm sure lots of people like that style, but it's not for me

Can't really talk on the popularity of stuff, but in my opinion Darwin blew Let Me In away at least twice working with Entity: once with I Know Where I Stand, and again with that remix of Every Little Thing. I don't think anything from F&D's 2013/14 output does it. I'm about as much of a fan of Never Let Go as Dys7 is. It's like they were trying to copy electrocore shit while offending the fewest HHC.com posters.

Never let go is a really nice tune, and in my opinion it's one of those rare tracks that just works. Doesn't need to blow your pants off but has enough content and 'commercial' appeal to fit in lots of different categories.
Not my tune of the year by a long way but I'd vote for it in a popularity contest any day.

Might be because the original in itself is electro house. If you listen to it, you'll see a lot of similarities. They basically took the original, made it hardcore and then put their own F&D touch to it.

Hence why it's called a remix. And I think it's brilliant they way they used original elements without it overpowering the track. It still has that signature Fracus & Darwin sound I know and love.

No one giving credit to Michael Mansion for Let Me In? The production on the remix was amazing but without the original (plus the lyrics/vocals) we would have never been able to listen to such a great Darwin remix. I wish Darwin was still producing this kind of sound, I think he peaked (as a solo-remixer) not long after HU3/4 :(
