I don't like this one because it's too repetitive but I like Dutch Happy Hardcore and I think Casketcrusher has some good tracks :)

Yeah. All of that early hardcore stuff makes me want to kill myself. It's nothing personal.

The problem with older styles are that they were good back then but now only appeal to a very select audience.
That '95 sound will always be appreciated by people like myself, but the problem is that evolution from that was spot on (into more vocal based "Happy Hardcore").
The true void was with the euphoric trance style of core. 1 min it was there, the next it's evolved into the darker/dubstep sound.
People had their fill of 1991-1995 sounds. Added to that is its less complex than the more euphoric wave of hardcore which suddenly died.
FWIW the production and authentic sound with that is spot on. However its growing ever harder to incorporate that style into todays market. Thus you may get more dislikes than likes, but it's still good for what it is.

Brisk & Darwin - every time is how to do nineties style these days or slipmatt's remix of nevre coming back from one of thumpas albums i think in 2012, anything else just doesn't cut the mustard. It has to be incredible with high energy to make it, not like this track that just drones on.
edited to add: i did nearly forget the at peace album which was bloody stunning.

I don't think he cares about what market it fits into as he is doing it because he likes it and loves the older sound (evidently). Rightly so on both accounts. Obviously people that only like newer Hardcore don't get it. And they aren't supposed to.

I just got Rougher & Tougher through the mail from Japan, I'm looking forward to giving it a good listen.

Yeah. I can definitely respect that. It's not my thing but people should produce whatever they actually like (which is why all my music sounds like late '00s hardcore).
