So, I want to mix useing a computer.
I would like to know some programs I would need to create a successful mix. If it's multiple programs, what would I use it for? I want to be able to input samples as well into the mix, since I'm useing a computer.

I was trying to use Adobe Audition, but that doesn't seem to work at all, couldn't figure out how to adjust the bpm, and all that.

There is a pioneer program http://www.pioneerprodj.com/gear_djs.html

Or there is albeton live http://www.ableton.com/

Demos of both where avaliable at one point. So you should be able to d/l a trial and see which is best for you before buying.

Or for a more user friendly program try Virtual DJ.

Well, what I'm looking for is something like 'Adobe Audition.' Where I can input the track, and place it around. Not real time DJ'n.

If you want to do a mix like that, you can download a pretty limited demo of Acid 6.0. I use Acid Pro 5 for arranging and for MIDI/VSTi, but if you can get it to correctly analyze the bpm of the songs you put in, a good sounding fake DJ set is pretty easy to do.

Well, I already do have a deck and all that. But I want to create a mix where I can remix the tracks a little and all that good stuff. Say, inbetween tracks, I stick in a sample.
Reason because, whenever I try to go from CD to Vinyl, it just does not work...
Ah, I used ACID before, I really hated it, how when I open a file, it creates another file in the same folder. If I remember correctly, I was able to change the speed of songs.

I guess the bad part of wanting to create a mix like this is, it's harder to get them beat matched? Can't use a master tempo (unless I don't know about it)? Mmm, seems hopeless....

thats sorta wot im doin with traktor. mix on cd decks then you can either mix a track in with traktor or leave a sample running in there while mixin on decks

other option .. virtual dj (not my fav) you can add samples in there. click a button and it plays. (under sample or fx tab? ) there is sum usual stuf like siren or horn or applause there. but you can replace it with you samples.

That's odd. I never had any problem with Acid making new files when I didn't want it to. And I was always able to just set everything to go at one tempo, and change it up when I felt like it.
