sk8sim, you're incredibly annoying and possibly mentally challenged
Who cares if you make 26grand a year and you're 18...?! Garbage men here make 60grand a year.
Influx provided what seemed like extremely helpful, technical feedback and you idiots are slagging him for it. How is commenting on the engineering a BAD thing?! It is something about the track that can be improved and should therefore be mentioned.
You said yourself the track was good so why did you say "better engineering won't make a bad track good"?! How is that related? The track is good so it can get better. We're not talking about a "bad" track here.
Furthermore, sometimes mixing down the "simplest" sounding tracks is the hardest because everything is so prominent in the mix. Scott Brown is a master of mixdowns because he makes everything sound so crisp but the amount of engineering required behind the scenes is intense. He told me he uses SOME form of compression and EQing on EVERY SINGLE element of the tune.
I don't do that, I only do it on certain stuff - you really have to know your shit to know what kind/how much compression to put on everything and still have it sound good.
Anyways, engineering isn't only about mixdowns, it's about the sounds you use in general, the structure, everything. If it was only "writing" that Bencow was doing then he'd only be writing riffs and messing with vocals.
Either way, shut your cakehole - Bencow just said he WANTS to hear what Influx has to say so you're fighting against him.
