Jesus Christ**** thank you. SOMEBODY else who doesn't care about genres and just enjoys the music.
Where did he mention genre?

Hahaha! Why do i get the feeling you've made these statistics up on the spot?
A couple of his anthems were wrote with Force? A couple? Do you know anything at all about Hardcore?
So 90% of the EDM world loves Styles? So; Gabber, D&B, Trance, House, Dubstep, the listeners of these genres, or at least 90% of them love Styles do they? Ha

For instance, Bonkers4Life said he hates everything styles has ever done. Then someone points out that his old shit was good and he agrees, then someone points out that his new shit is alright and he agrees, if that's not smoke blowing I know absolutely nothing about children in social situations....
I believe he made the remarks flippantly and was then proven wrong, which he admitted to.

The problem is all the people that copy his sound and other big name sounds and just perpetuate a completely awful standard of Hardcore.
I agree with you completely. There is plenty of very plain, very unimaginative and very boring RBC/DS'ish hardcore out there made by ever-upcomers, semi-amateurs or complete noobs. Perhaps some of these young music makers would be more succesful and benefit the genre better with a trademark sound that is truly their own.
Off with this thread, the worst Hardcore track ever was probably produced by one of these RBC/DS clones anyways! :P

The thing is that as soon as you copy someone else's sound is that it's their sound and as long as it is their sound you will always be competing with them. If you use your own sound then your already the best at it. Seems obvious to me but never mind!

Oh thank God, Meathead is here.
The genres thing was a carryover rage from a different thread where everyone was bawwing that happy hardcore is dead and everything is actually UK hardcore now, which is why they haven't liked anything since the 90s, because there hasn't been any happy hardcore since the 90s. Similarly, it seems no one has liked styles since the 90s and I was assuming for a lot of the people who also participated in the aforementioned other thread it was because he was producing this "UK Hardcore" rather than happy.
Also yes I pulled the statistics out of my ass, and I said that a COUPLE were with force because he hasn't worked with force since the 90s, and I was talking about modern anthems, like the shit people buy on clubland x-treme or newer bonkers. Also, I used EDM world instead of HHC world because I had just got home from work and wasn't really thinking it through, so yes, you win. Gabber and dubstep fans probably aren't crazy about darren styles, but the happy hardcore community outside of this website is. I maintain my belief that this all started when a few high ranking members on here said some shit about styles and everyone decided to agree and just never stopped ********ting about it.
Also my dislike of Bonkers4Life still stands, though admittedly with less grounds than previously claimed. Perhaps I'm just still grumpy from work.

You dislkike the guy (i'm assuming it's a guy) because he doesn't share the same music tastes as you? You seem like a very mature person.
I never got the memo from these high ranking members of the forum when i joined that i must dislike Styles' work. I respect him for all he's done for Hardcore. I may not like his music now (now being pretty much 2006 onward) but before that i was a big fan. He produced many an anthem, most of which were with Force but many were with Breeze and on his own. He's talented, there's no question of that i just don't like his recent work, and i'm not alone in that. He does have a massive following, both on this forum and off it but he also has a large group of people who don't like his music. Some perhaps are going along with the crowd, but me personally i'm just disappointed to see where he's taken his music. From the Happy Hardcore anthems past to tracks like "Amigos" and "Sorry". And i'm sure this is the same reason many dislike his new tracks, why is that so hard for you to accept?

still sounds like you got crabs up your ass
and there's no such thing as high-ranking members here, with probably the exception of the moderators, and of course silver. no 1 has to agree with everything anyone says, but it is nice that sometimes most of us can be in agreement
and force & styles worked with each other until early 2000s

well, i have to admit to being a little confused - i just read back over this topic and nobody layed into darren styles enough that warrented such an angry response from specimen...
i dont think anyone has been personally laid into because they like styles.
i think getting so angry about a thread that is labelled "worst hardcore song ever" is kind of stupid...you are bound to find someone here that dislikes a song that you like, you shouldnt take it so personally..let people like what they like..and dislike what they dislike.

However some of Styles' new stuff is immense, bassline road, sound without a name and like a bitch for example!

My post was the result of cumulative anger at this site in general lately. It just seems more and more like a nursing home around here, everyone hates everything and talks about the good ol days...

Of course Darren Styles is not a bad producer. He's excellent actually! And like Meathead said, some people don't really enjoy his new music, but the reason (I think) he's doing it, is to become more popular and then (once he's won more attention/fans) to make a comeback and produce some more underground/less commercial stuff again!
And for me this sounds like a good plan.

the name itself looks horrible but damn terrible track! vocals sound messy with the beats and the "rapping" just made it worst!
