He's going to be fine. His electro stuff gets support from the likes of Tiesto, his Glitch Hop music on Dustla gets support right across the board, even his hardcore got played by everyone from Darren Styles, Mampi swift, & Kruella. He has endless remix work. Like his style or not, he's one of the best producers out there. Just a shame that his love for bass music has brought him endless criticism, personal abuse and driven him out of the scene he started out in.

It's one thing to complaining about the music, but getting abused because of it? Now that's low. I dont know first hand about the scene as I've only been to 5 smaller raves, but what I've seen is only happy people! True, I've only been to the HU ones and 2 others, which might've not played the more dubby stuff but I can't say I've heard many people boo at any tracks.

Because no one ever would. It's not at the raves where people have a problem. It's on facebook etc...

I think the thing that got to him most was whenever he posted a glitch hop track or electro house track on his soundcloud, he'd get a barrage of abuse from hardcore fans saying 'it's not hardcore'. 'Youre killing the scene' 'go & die dub step freak' and the rest of it, when neither were ever tagged by him, or anyone as hardcore. Yet when when he posted a hardcore track none of his electro/glitch hop fans said the same thing. He gets a lot more respect in those scenes, so now he's just distanced himself from hardcore altogether. Hopefully now the crap will stop, but we'll see.

Clearly an immensely talented producer. Remember him on USH when he was just breaking through and using Rocket Pimp as his hardcore name.
His early hardcore stuff was really starting to sound quality just before the 'new sound'. Tracks like 'Symphonix' and 'Keep You Safe' really hit a spot at the time.
At the beginning it was novel and I enjoyed it, but then It really became dull and boring for me personally despite there still being the odd quality track (Dagger for example).
He has got the be the smallest name to make the biggest impact on the hardcore scene surely?

It's an interesting one. Mixed feelings. It's unfortunate that someone feels they need to leave because of a general negative atmosphere in a scene.
I agree with Ben about his earlier work on Divine UK Hardcore. Loved that stuff. Phenomenal.
I do have a natural, gut-reaction bitterness towards him - artistically - because he helped to take Hardcore, generally, in a direction I absolutely detest and don't even consider Hardcore. Logically, though, that's a real cnuty way of looking at things. The Hardcore scene and community isn't in existence to cater for my needs, requirements and tastes alone - and he was well within his rights to produce whatever style he wanted. Lots of people liked it and do like it, and there was and is plenty of stuff outside of his style of Hardcore for me to enjoy.
I hope the guy's career goes well and that he makes some cash out of his Rocket Pimp stuff because he's obviously very talented.

First point of all: it's always a shame to loose a good one. But if someone is unable too face hard criticism as within these Hardcore scene you definitely joined the wrong scene to my opinion. There is a reason why it's called Hardcore. On the other hand the scene is able to deeply fall into love for tracks and producers as well and share this love. We're extremists - the music is!
I agree to wish him good luck as well.

Absolutely agree. If you cant handle some critisism, go home. This scene has too many soft and weak personalities who take critism very badly and pass it off as hate.

No.
As some probably know I'm one of the biggest FW apologists around but even I see that this is a horribly cliched argument. The "new sound" could have been literally anything. What it turned out to be is something that I, personally enjoy. Not everyone does. Not everyone ever would no matter what direction it went. It is a massive leap to say "EVERYONE ON HHC.COM JUST HATES ALL CHANGE WAH WAH WAH". Your post implies that any "new sound", no matter what is is, should always be appreciated by everyone just for the virtue of being a new thing. That's dumb. At the end of the day, its not the "newness" of 2013 hardcore that appeals to me, its the music itself. I can APPRECIATE what almost anyone for taking risks and pushing boundries regardless of if it appeals to me or not (notice how almost everyone in this thread is doing that in regards to Modulate) but ENJOYING it is something entirely different. Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 8 was a brand new thing for it's time. Did I enjoy it? No, I thought it was weak. New but weak. But by the time 9 rolled around, hardcore had come into form as something I actually was quite positive about. I think theres a great mixture of styles out there (at the current) forming an amalgam of fast rave music that I'm enjoying more than ever. Modulate was one of my favorite producers not because he "pushed a new sound" but because he pushed a sound that appealed to me. Once again, it did not and could not have appealed to everyone. There is nothing wrong with this and it is, once again, dumb to assume that this means that everyone just hates all change.
In conclusion, I've bought every NFWORLD release to date at full Beatport price and even I wish people on my "side" (urg) would stop trying to brainlessly generalize everyone who even slightly disagrees with them.

I personally don't know the real reason why he left Hardcore. I only think that if it's only this argument, it would be very lame. So all rumours should stop before we know anything officially.

I've only started to cry out when producers started to simply copy other genres and simply paced currently famous onces up. Especially when Electro, Minimal and Dupstep came into the play I started to puke, because this shit sounds 100% unhardcore and I've started to call this crap Coitus Interruptus. I even noticed when a lot producers simply played paced up Vocal Trance which includes a lot of UK Hardcore, but I didn't care, because it was still raveable and pleasurable to listen to.

I've realised it is! Only today's usual sound is my personal proplem. If I look carefully I am able to find the choons out of the big pile of shit that gets produced today. And still Hardcore doesn't mean receiving as much hate as possible. You'll get love as much as you demand as well, if you're able to deserve!

ANYWAY
yeah as I stated, Modulate was one of my favorite producers and needless do say, I'm sad to see him go. I am however, glad that he's confirmed that he'll be releasing all of his unreleased material before he does. My hype for Say Yeah dosent have to fizzle out after all!
